He was the teacher who I was somehow accused of getting him the push from a job when he went back to bkk, asked him about this and he claimed he knew nothing about it, never knew or found out anything more. He was one off here I went out of the way to befriend including lending his sister in law money at a soi33 bar, which left me short changed just to save him a few quid on a transfer, for some reason having his initial Open University documents and books delivered to my address 300 miles away that I posted on as well as taking him magazines over. Last time I saw him was songkran in Brum about 2003 he had a bag of beers he had bought off site to save money, never got offered one while I had to listen to his endless complaints over his (lovely) wife. However, that was not as bad as sitting on a bus on the way to crazy mans wedding (lasted 6 weeks) sat next to him being told about his infatuation with one of his foreign schoolgirls when he taught on soi 15. Funny that his wife got on the bus just after I moved seats as it pulled in to pick her up, Buri Ram I think, and thought he had been talking to a female -then the whole bus heard him get a right earful. Was he involved in blackmail? no not him but an American with the brothel owner. He became a postman after his divorce, probably just about retired.

I will donate that 40k people here know who got it, just ask them for it back!

Wrong on every detail you don't know me at all, I did not get a job back in the UK, I already had one. Who was I supposed to have 'hated' ? I was constantly accused of being a teacher in the UK, even by that gutter 'journalist' Drummond, I was never a teacher there or in Thailand. The only person I know of who screwed girls without  condoms contracted HIV in Pattaya, a figure of pity not hate.

Blackmail is a criminal offense, so best to report it to the police, obviously in the UK, and if you are free from guilt.  There are other means to deal with the problem of course, depending on who you know.

It was reported to the Police at Beaumont Leys Police Station in the uk who described it as sophisticated and their opinion was probably not the first time the people responsible had done it. KS, and probably Stick knows the American behind it in co operation with the French pimp, and all because his precious brothel was criticized and ad revenue threatened. KS once described me as tenacious and yes a long time ago and not a fortune, but very, very stressful, upsetting and of course illegal. I do respect KS for not deleting these posts though and letting me have my say. Happy new year to all, except the French man and his accomplice of course!

I never tried to get anyone fired from his job and that lie had nothing to do with my being blackmailed on here, not surprised you do not want to discuss it. What is the other side to blackmail then? You are referring to a groundless rumor I think that I had something to do with long gun getting the push when he returned here to teach? knew absolutely nothing about that and he denied I had anything to do with it. I did fall out with him but that was after he had returned to the UK and I do not think he would have talked to me at songkran in Birmingham in 2003 if I had anything to do with him leaving Thailand. You are trying to muddy the waters and pretending you don't remember, well you could try asking Belgian Boy or stick of course, their memory might be a bit better. When Himitsu. who collaborated with the Frenchman in the blackmail eventually left the forum you said you were sorry to see him go, you probably forgot that as well!  BTW if you have any evidence I ever tried to get anyone fired I would love to see it. I have a stack of evidence I was blackmailed via nanaplaza.com for 40k baht, want to swap?

Would you like me to post them all to jog your memory? I also found out the location of the Thai woman who collected the 40k baht, want to know that as well? The reasons for the decline of the board are more than one, blackmailing posters was just one. Mad did not come into it, criminality did however.

Yet a board like TV that many regard as over moderated survived and flourished and is now the most valuable  Thai forum in an era where they have been subjected to the same competition from social media. Allowing an advertiser to extort posters is not good moderation. Also, the board owner who knew all about what had gone on, eventually at least, expressed his regret when the poster involved in blackmail said he was leaving. When I say blackmail that was the opinion of the Police at the Beaumont Leys Station Leics UK who examined all the documents. Not surprising this board died when several other major mistakes were made, including losing the Nanaplaza name. The payment membership section was a non starter with no input and not enough work or imagination put into developing the site. It could have been great but it turned out not to be and that is down to the people who ran it, nobody and nothing else. Even that mad house teak door has done better than here, so if this is an example of how to do things I have to disagree.

Just to add the only people here that were any help over this incredibly stressful period were Stick who I will always to grateful to and Belgian Boy who urged me not to pay up. I did so in the end as the Mrs had been threatened, and although she knew nothing about it had told me she had been followed off the bus and a bloke had gone around her condo block asking for her room, strange co incidence if it was.

Could have been the Thai visa before Thai visa as it was the first Thai board as sanuk fun in Thailand. Poorly run and moderated is the reason it died, blaming social media is just an excuse. Being involved in advertisers extorting posters and attempting to did not help of course, that sort of thing does tend to put people off!
