    Occam's Razor

No, actually been asking a number of people working in rural areas across the country, we've a good network country wide, I believe there a deeper story that's not so interesting, or doesn't play as well. It's the more professional level Farmers that are getting nothing, I suspect a large number of CP contracted farms as well

Flash - I don't know why it doesn't make the press, but pretty much all the farmers i know have been paid, the people who haven't been paid are the mills the farmers sell too, The business of Rice growing is not as simple as people think, many farmers "sell" the rice before it's cut, after all, it's a financially speaking recognizable asset, and the get their $'s sooner, albeit less than if they waited. This is one reason so many government funded mills in villages are not used, a village owned mill doesn't loan you cash on your rice in the field.

"The Cult" won't join in, it's conservative, and very right wing, so no interest in poor farmers who can't donate enough. Can the funds be raised is the key point as you point out, I think there are enough on the fringe who now have some funds, and would be interested in splitting off. Will they? Unknown. I oddly believe Abhisit when he says a coup would be the worst thing, because for sure his party will be blamed, rightly or wrongly, he does need to win legitimately "if" Democracy is continued, in order to stay in power a few election cycles.

I disagree with how #4 plays out, one side was never in the past as vocal as it is now, I don't think they will allow their votes to be thrown away again and again, that means if there is a status quo, even a parliamentary one, then those numbers will increase, I see an option #6, which would be very good, A new party forms, emerging intellectual and working left wing in the city, rural poor from both North, North East and South, That takes large numbers of votes away from both TRT and it's legacy parties, and Democrats, and leaves only elite, right wing, and conservatives. That party would be even stronger than any of the existing incantations of other groupings, Some of the worlds oldest Labor parties have come from rural backgrounds not city, so this has happened before in many other countries. Would be a disaster for the conservatives though.
  7. Obviously typical Thai reporting, I am sure he broke the windows himself then fainted, we all know these people are not violent, and wouldn't hurt an innocent bystander.
  8. You should visit the USA sometime, never fear the FCC has made a huge turn around in the last week, "Treat Broadband as a utility" is now moving from wacko far left in USA to main stream normal lefties. However the debate on it being a basic right often wrinkles the nose of those who believe the core UN rights are far more important, join the ITU debate, I believe in broadband networks as utilities, ISP's can be private/public, but as a basic human right? No, that's the territory of food, water, right to education etc, I would much rather see the right to a free University education over Internet as a basic right, frankly it diminishes far more important debates.
  9. Dropped off a Niece to go back to school just an hour or so before it got closed,
  10. Well I stand corrected, not by Flash, but by tanks that just wizzed along towards Victory Monument from I guess the Army Base Tanks too heavy for soil? Interesting design, did they learn nothing from the Germans in WW1? The tread just destroys tarmac, especially in heavy weather
  11. Good to see that the Thai Army believes in promotion for all units, Personnel Carriers become Tanks, it they do deploy any tanks, you can kiss the roads good buy, those things really cut up the tarmac,
  12. I've posted this before, found some good deals, http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ But it doesn't integrate with the low cost carriers, like Air Asia, Tiger, Cebu, etc who I seem to fly all the time. Good software, I did find a great Biz Class fare, Cathay by the way has good specials on, Thai prices seem to be dropping? As I fly 2 - 4+ times a month, getting a good ticket is important, but all local, so being part of Star Alliance no longer holds any allegiance
  13. Boo, just coz no photo's you can be pretty sure it happened, Though on a slightly humourous side, I find this amazing <<police red letter box at the front of his property.>> Gee, where's that Nasty Nic's house, OH it's the one with the police red letter box at the front of his property!
  14. Well it screwed my day, BBTV 7 - Blockade - turn around, ThaiPBS - Blockade - Shortcut through the Army camp - Channel 5 - Blockade. Give up and go visit a mate, remembering the blockades I take the tollway - 45 minutes not moving because . . . . . Fuck, you got rid of Yingluck, can't you give it a rest?
  15. Because as the comment is irrelevant to the story, the only implications are those you seemed to be making
  16. I photographed them at East Leagues club, he was totally out of it, so we had a doctor give him a massive vitamin shot which made him able to do the show, I went back to being a bouncer. Officially I was bouncer/photographer, great night. The doctor was the father of one of the innovators of weekend long concerts in brisvegas, he did a operation on me for something horses get, lucky me having vets for wifes to diagnose what pregnant women, horses and me got, eventually disbarred, fun family
  17. I photographed her about 10 years later, much heavier, much older than me, and still hot, just a great performer, Transformers Brissie
  18. Flash you've had many conversations I am sure with Nick, we both know he's abrasive, but oddly runs in the middle, I stand by my comments and still wonder why Mr Missy said what he said/ I find that offensive.
  19. Soldiers armed, been out there, Nick is not a fan of Thaksin from conversations I've had with him, but he's pretty smart, "Mr Missy" WTF yes, correct, where his wife is from has to do anything with this? My cock is 3 inches that's also irrelevant to this conversation, unless your a lawyer? So why say it?
  20. <<"Having been singled out, Nostitz was told to come and see ’Luang Bu’>> Sounds nice this Monk, interesting the Soldiers did nothing, they have the biggest guns. So they claim . . . .
  21. With it plugged in so you know it works?
  22. No that's the one behind him, I'm the one in drag
