I realise that, just wanted to clear it up I case bust didn’t understand

Most likely, he did not. I recall him once saying his Nokia phone took better pictures than my Nikon DSLR and film SLRs…anyone with such logic should always be given special treatment…now if he had said Apple IPhone, or the Samsung A15, I might give him some cred… 555

I wouldn’t go that far, in Thailand there is a marked difference  in quality between local and imported beef and even I can tell the difference between a $2 Bottle of wine and a $20 Bottle.

People can tell the difference between good and bad, but they cannot tell the difference between good and alleged better than good, i.e. Aussie Beef V Wagyu or a $20 Bottle v $200 Bottle of wine

Well yeah, that is more less what I meant…. The difficult meat to get here is good/decent lamb. A lot of the Arab/Halal markets tend to have decent lamb and much cheaper than the big supermarkets. Costco has decent lamb, Halal imported from Australia or New Zealand. Costco up in Marin, one of the richest counties in the USA, has Kobe and Wayne from time to time, $200+ for 1 steak…looks like more fat than anything…I mean how good can it really be at that price..?

Normally you would think it gets exported to Japan but their wagyu is even more expensive.

At a bit of a loss as to how you would ever recoup that kind of investment considering they are bread and fed for consumption.

I am not a big fan of steak, most beef in general really. I think past a certain point, there is a big snob appeal when it comes to “wine and cuisine” with most people really not knowing the difference between good and bad…

Karma at it's best. Hope he suffered a horribly painful death.

He supposedly had a serious case of Prostate cancer…so he probably couldn’t fuck for awhile and maybe was incontinent, shitting and pissing on himself…if that comforts you555. Never really respected him…funny in the police squad movies…wife was supposedly a real coke slut cunt, but no reason to murder her…but as Chris Rock said “…I understand…” To Paraphrase Chris Rock, “…if he wasn’t famous, if he drove a bus, he wouldn’t even be OJ, he’d be Oranthal the bus driving murderer…” That is how we should remember him…

Went to a board meeting once where I met Khunsanuk and several others but I do remember that, afterwards, every time I met a board member something major happened in my life.

Khunsanuk: met him to discuss getting a web banner done.

Flashermac: Met him once too at the no name bar (when it was still on Sukhumvit), met the prettiest and sweetest lady but I was too much of a coward to follow-up properly...

Stickman: met him and hired him when he was playing private detective

Dumsoda: travelled once up to Surin to meet him -> thanks to him I met up with a lady with whom I kept contact with while she was in Sweden....till the husband called me asking me who the hell I was...(did not know she had a husband but I was young and foolish)

Worldfun: went out a few times with him (and I helped him discover the world of Japanese ktv lounges), for my part the result was (once again) meeting a young lady whose boyfriend later called me on my professional phone while I was back in my office in Spain....(again, I was not aware there was a boyfriend who had promised to marry her), this taught me that (real) Thai college students can be as tricky as bargirls....

I do believe that is all (as I am very bad with names), I met a few other board members but can't remember their names (if they ever told me theirs).

I recall meeting you, I believe it was at Gullivers..? I seem to recall at one point you were considering a move the Silicon Valley but turned it down as you’d have starved on the wages offered… Did you open a burger place on or near Soi 22? Or am I confusing you with another? Belgian Dog or something..?

Hard mob to understand the Japanese.

I remember a few years ago, I took a mate who has a bit of an interested in visiting significant places relating to war, up to Kanchanaburi to visit Hellfire Pass. Portrayed them as absolute cnuts. That same night we went to the Sportsman in Soi 13 to watch the opening game of the Rugby World Cup 2019 between Japan and Russia. The Japanese would applaud the Russians every time they score or forced a turnover 😳

Hard mob to understand indeed…they would oddly offer money to the Filipina comfort women survivors, but would not formally apologize. When the survivors said “…keep the money, just apologize,” the Japs just offered more money… There is a statue in San Francisco Honoring the comfort women and the Japanese consulate had the audacity to complain about it…the Catholic Church, who’s property the statue is/was on, told them to go scratch…

Had a bust up with board admin over something trivial, another Mountain out of a Mole Hill moment fro ND hehe.

He is now having a hissy fit saying “I won’t come back until they apologise” like how can they apologise if they think you are not here

Perhaps we could apologize for the Admin? It would be symbolic and the admin would have to play along or risk more of us leaving? Either way, we should negotiate the apology…

Hollywoods obsession is with rewriting history on movies loosely based around warr

U-571 No the Americans did not intercept the Enigma Machine scepter in Hollywood, it was the Brits but whitewashed out of history

Saving Private Ryan Only America landed on D Day no mention of the Brits, Canuck’s or Aussies, The Mulberry Harbours and DD Tanks used in the D Day landings were both British inventions except in Hollywood when they were yank.

The Last Samurai, as if the Japanese Imperial Guard would be saved by a random American

Battle of the Bulge, Red Tails, Braveheart, The Patriot, Pearl Harbour and so on and so on, the list is endless.

And to make matters worse, many Americans believe the Hollywood remake of History as fact.

ALL LIES!! John Wayne did it all! Next you will be telling me Jesus Christ is not a white American guy from a small Steel Town in Pennsylvania…

  9. I remember one night Nervous Dog aka  My Penis is hungry, and I went around trying to find a place to watch Grand Prix racing. I seem to recall we started at Taffy’s, his satellite was out, as was the case at another place, we found our way into Hounds and Hares who had it on and we settled in to plates of lamb and mashed potatoes, which was great. I had been sober for 3 years at that point, and for some reason got talked into “having just one…” had a great night and a lot of laughs…ended up in Lone Staarr and took a shit load of pictures that I need to find and somewhere there is a video of some drunk singing “King of the Road…”

I had a lot of great times with Nervous Dog aka My Penis is hungry, great guy, too bad he stopped posting here…wonder why?

Sad News about The Numbers, had some fun afternoons out with him and Suadum in Patpong many years ago

I had a lot of good times with those 2 for sure…I can’t remember the name of the restaurant near Lang Suan, had red brick walls and featured live music, mostly jazz, great food etc…one night, Suadam, Dumsoda, the Numbers, DDDave, myself and a few girls were in there, Dumsoda ordered a second bottle of Black Lable and it all went off from there, the Numbers and I limited ourselves to only “a few drinks” and then went off to photograph Tran cars somewhere that I don’t recall…big lot of old rusting train cars full of squatters etc…it was an awesome night. We made it to “No Name Bar” in time for last call and guess who was in there..? 555

How is Rusty doing? There's a fellow who was a good laugh and lived life to the beat of his own drum. How's he doing these days? Has he maintained any connections with Thailand?

Married for several years to a Thai woman and lives in I think Saraburi, still fishing or trying to…555 Met up with him a few years back in Pattaya.

98 when the GBP was 91.7 THB those were the days, don’t get half of that now.

Yeah, like 57+/1USD in 97-98?? And no price adjustments, hotels were $15 for a good room, $5 for ok room on “the tunnel of love,” beer about $.50 or less and girls were like $10…great times…a total free for all!!! I remember staying there for 2+ months and spending very little money…sadly those days and exchange rates fell away…now $36/1USD if lucky and everything is more money…I blame the internet and wreckless punters for driving up “basic costs” and corporate greed for the rest…

  13. I talk with Cent, Father Tom, Lazy Phil and Chocolate Steve regularly, The_Numbers was a regular late night conversation, sadly he passed away at age 42 about 2 years ago or so, shortly before Dan aka Suadam…Silikunt Occassionally…Rusty as well…all are doing well.

As I age, I find myself saying “damned kids…” regarding the new wanna be punters and longing nostalgically for the old days…finally got my wife to the USA after waiting 2 years to do it legally, damned illegals sucking up resources and time…the covid “hoax” and general government crap…now waiting a few months for “change of status” and more money paid…we have Thai food and beer at home and that gets us by until we can move to Thailand permanently. Ah the “good old days…”

Anyway, if you know any of the old regulars, say hi from me…

  14. Was wondering what ever happened to a few guys here, among them, Fiery Jack and Troy in EWA, Gadfly Some German guy I used to argue about airplanes with, he was always wrong… etc…I always loved Fiery Jacks posts, made the rounds with him a few times… I still keep in touch with a few. Others died, some too soon, others not soon enough…I do really miss the old crew…

  15. All this reminds me of a joke I heard years ago, It has been changed a bit, but here goes… God gets tired of all the violence in the Middle East, so he calls the head of the Jews and the head of the Muslims before him…he also decides to appoint one person to represent the rest of the world. He say “…what will it take to stop the fighting and have an ever lasting peace..?” The head Muslim says, “…get rid of all the Jews and we will be happy and better off!” The head Jew says to god “…get rid of all the Muslims/Arabs and we will be happy!”  God looks at the Appointed representative for everyone else and says “…what do you thin,,?” The Appojnted rep says “I think you should give these 2 what they want and then the rest of the world can be happy…”

It was originally a joke regarding Northern Ireland, but it still works. Heard it from a Catholic priest, he told it in church during a sermon…I had to leave the church I was laughing so hard…

The United States and Truman were guilty of war crimes by establishing Israel in 1948 when the British left Palestine against the UN Resolution 181

The US trying to police the world always leads to fuck ups

The unofficial narrative, one rejected by some, goes that the USA and UK did not want a bunch of Jews flooding into their countries so they pushed for the Jewish homeland and thus created this monster situation…  I can tell you, a lot of Jewish people make this an issue bigger than religion itself “I say it is this way as god intended, end of story…” and on the Muslim/Arab side you have pretty much the same thinking. No room for compromise on either side.  Palestinians were not really recognized by many Arab states until Israel came along. Palestinians have more rights in Israel than in most maybe all other Arab states. There were Palestinian Christian’s, and Muslims and prior to the  “creation” of Israel, there were Jewish people living in Palestine and considered themselves “Palestinian Jews.”  All these other outside groups, Hezbulla, Hamas etc just use Israel/Palestine as an excuse for violence to advance there agenda, Pelestinian people are not really welcome in too many places…

  17. Anyone remember that right wing stroke job who used to post here…ROGUEYAM I THINK WAS HIS NAME, GOT KICKED OFF FINNALLY FOR BEING A TROLL Sorry, hit cap lock, too lazy to change…anyway, he was your typical head up the ass American who would have loved trump…I really am embarrassed that the best we can do is trump Biden….
