There are 42 nudist beaches in the UK, why anyone would want to get their kit off on a UK summers day is beyond me

And talking of Musicals did you know that Phil Collins was the original Artful Dodger is the West End production of Oliver, not just rehearsed for the part but actually starred in the role.
The reason this fact remains largely unknown is due to him being famous for more than just one song

Just out of curiosity, how well did you know him 🙄
Well enough to know he was no more than a one hit wonder in my walk of life

was much more than a one-hit wonder,
Such as?
I’ll be damned if I can remember anything else he has done in music, or life in general for that matter.

There is the other side of the story coming out such as hy does the video only playing from a few moments in, what happened before.
Allegedly, this is hearsay so don’t quote me on this, the cop pulled them over and demanded a cash fine (does happen A LOT) Brothers refuse, Cop pulls the gun on the Brothers waving it about screaming at them, one of Brothers uses his MMA experience to disarm the cop, they empty the gun and chamber of bullets and offer the gun back to cop.
They are still dickheads mind, but I’ll be interesting to see if/when full video is released.

You really get the impression the Thais are fed up with misbehaving foreigners
Isn’t that true, look at the outrage on Phuket just last week, the Swiss owner of an Elephant sanctuary kicked a woman sat on the steps of his property at the beach.
Candle lit vigils, singing of the anthem, placard Wielding protesters and his visa was revoked so he and his Thai wife have to leave Thailand

As well as the USA the UK will have elections this year, the Party Broadcasts have already started

Quote from the guys Father
“Who would have ever expected this? Just a couple of kids on a tourist trip.”
Kids? They are 36 and 34, maybe you as their father treating them as kids cause them to act like kids.

HHGTTG
As good as it was
‘Nobody makes jokes in base 13 anymore “was an even better quote IMHO

Putin invades Ukraine, Ukrainians kill Russians, Ukraine Good Russia Bad
Italians Invade Bear Territory, Bears kill Italians, Bears Bad Italians Good
And the difference is, Humans are supposed to be the most intelligent members of the animal kingdom
-
My comments weren’t aime d at this story specifically, just my own thoughts on so called co existence on human terms
So man’s idea of coexistence is to take over land on which the Elephants used to roam for farming and ban the Elephants to ,reserves designated by man.Man deciding where animals which were here millions of years before man existed where they can and cannot live is arrogance in my book. Didn’t Australians used to do the same with Aborigines in he past with reserves and stations?
-
The arrogance of man, Elephants evolved well before apes did, we are on their territory not the other way around

It must be over 10 years since I have socialised around Farang tourist or KSR types, so I can’t comment on the current generation but it sounds like I have dodged the bullet on this one.
The internet is supposed to make people more intelligent,,where as in fact in it has made people stupider. An idiot post an opinion online, someone buys it hook line and sinker and posts something even stupider and the downward spiral continues.
And I can bet you a pound to a pinch of shit that they are not getting their info from travel websites and other knowledgeable places, oh no they go to the font of all knowledge Facebook, Instagram and Twitter claiming “it is true, I read it on the interweb thingy”- 2

Never liked these types, and the older I get the more I dislike them yet find them amusing…. All I can really say is “Damned kids..!” Or “…These kids today…” I must be getting old
Partly, I think deeps down inside one realise that you used to be a know it all twat as well in ‘The Early Day” or think to oneself was I this stupid. / annoying
Even though I find these types entertaining in small doses, I absolutely refrain from being engaged in conversation with them, after all you do not try and have meaningful conversations with the exhibits when you visit the zoo

Rico posted that on here, but didn’t post very much on this one.
He and I plus about another 10 guys used to have a place on the original MSN Forums around the turn of the millennium , a couple of us Bangkok and the others in UK or USA, used to meet up when members were in town and for Football WC 2002, which was in Japan and Korea, all of us were in Pattaya for a month.

Lies, Lies and more Lies, MFP did not promise to amend the majeste law, they stated that they would discuss it. Any decent opposition party has a manifesto . MFP didn’t have the power to unilaterally amend the lese majeste law.
I can’t say that I am surprised in the slightest, I predicted as much this would happen over 6 moths ago

No time is enough time, many years ago in the late 90’s I used to frequent Hogs Breath in Nana Plaza of a late afternoon / early evening, even though it was a Gogo by night, daytime it served as the unofficial Bangkok social headquarters of Bechtel Engineering and employees from all over the world on R’n’R in Thailand would pop in for a beer and a chat, Bob (rest his soul) the owner was ex-Bechtel.
It must have been 20 years later when the daytime mamasan of Hogs Breath saw me somewhere far away from the bar areas and started calling my name, lucky for me I was solo at that moment and in typical British fashion lowered my eyes and scuttled off in the opposite direction. It can happen anytime or anywhere.
KSR is OK for a once off visit now and again, great place for “People Watching” but I prefer Thanon Rambutri which runs parallel with KSR , there was a place there did Kung Yang to die for. Ramnutri also extends the other side of Chakrabongse Road (KSR Police Station End) and some very relaxing chilled out places on that side.

Playing the devils advocate here, but what about decorum on your behalf?
Is it deemed polite and acceptable behavior to take your wife to areas in Bangkok which are known for women of lower morals than your average Thai female, an area where you in the past may have frequented and associated with such women.
Even though I have been out of “The scene” for many a year now, I wouldn’t consider taking my wife to “Ground Zero” on the off chance that someone may recognise me and similar situation transpiring.
After all Bangkok is quire a large metropolis with literally 1000’s of other places to go to, why would one chose to take your wife to that area.
I am not being judgmental, of course you are free to take your wife wherever you wish too, but I am questioning your rationale of exposing yourself and your wife to the chance of this happening and then blaming the third party.
Maybe you are just getting used to this married life lark😂

My old 2014 Macbook Pro, which I keep as a backup machine in case my main machines dies, can't be updated any more....or rather the updates are simply security fixes. Haven't been able to update the main OS for a few years.
My iPad must be 4 or 5 years old. Can still update it ok. Will wait for the standard iPad to get an OLED screen and will upgrade then. I use my iPad way more than I use my iPhone (5 years and counting) so will upgrade iPad before iPhone.
As I said my old 4th Generation 2013 iPad only stopped updating once iOS hit version 17, you have another 5 years life in yours yet. I am not even sure if it slowed down that much despite its age, yes the 10th Generation is faster as it should be with A16 chip compared to the A6X but I don’t use an iPad for processor intensive activities so can’t say I notice much except a couple of games open slightly quicker.
We seem to have the same opinion of the iPad V iPad Pro, as I stated in OP I couldn’t see the point in spending 40% more just for OLED display, and M2 processor, plus the Pro weights 480g compared to 280g. At nearly half a kilo a tablet stops being a tablet IMHO
I must admit I was impressed with the Apple Auto set up, seamless transfer of all data no problem at all, I was surprise my old iPad supported such but any device with iOS 12.4 or above is supported.
Fucking EU forcing Apple to use USB C port, My iPhone 13, AirPods , old iPad, the wife’s iPhone and iPad all use Lightning connector and I have USB A to lightning leads so now I have to buy another fucking lead USB A to USB C or an adapter, I prefer leads. iTunes can connect to a device via WiFi as long has the device has already been connected to the host computer so I need a lead to use it without a lead, which genius came up with that idea. I should send the EU an invoice
Any New Jokes
