  1. It's a metaphor for wanking. Like flying a kite. Trust me, I know about these things.
  2. I've dined at MacDonalds a few times. Does that count?
  3. Got you the first time. I googled Stone of Scone and Scotland did indeed get it back!! The sassenachs are allowed to borrow it for coronations.
  4. Did they ever get the Stone of Scone back?
  5. laohuli....means old fox....hence 'foxy'
  6. You may have to wait for Wikileaks. They are busy at the moment.
  7. Nothing. You think their bosses like him much more than they do? Well somebody was cheering. Maybe it was a hand-picked audience? http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=12304597
  8. What happens to soldiers who don't cheer on command?
  9. You must admit the leather jacket was a smart choice. Somewhere between combat and recreation.
  10. I enjoyed that. It surprised me that they were able to turn the story into a movie but they did. Of course they had to stretch the truth a bit. Justin Timberlake did a great job I thought.
  11. Social Network. I wasn't expecting much but it 's very entertaining. Good writing, good acting and I learned a few things about Facebook.
  12. I was in Sukhotai recently. It's dead after about 10 pm. There may be some ban phoo-ying, I didn't look. Don't know about P'lok. The best way in places like that is to ask a tuk-tuk guy.
  13. They are all Marxists at heart. They want to destroy Western culture. (If Glenn Beck doesn't do it first.)
  14. Worse. At least you know where you are with those people. Liberals are much more devious.
  15. Good for you. Once those people get a foot in the door you never get rid of them.
  16. That is the most insidious kind of liberal propaganda. It works its way into your subconscious and you don't even know it's happening.
  17. I was thinking about Sin Nombre....isn't it sympathetic towards illegal immigrants?
  18. Just worried about you picking up liberal ideas.
  19. Hit the jackpot on a plane the other night...watched 3 good ones on the seatback...'An Education' screen play by Nick Hornby about a girl growing up in London. 'Frost/Nixon', a dramatized version of the famous interview and 'The Damned United' about Brian Clough's 44 days as manager of Leeds. Michael sheen is a genius.
  20. 'Touching the Void' about 2 young English guys climbing a mountain in Peru. Things go wrong. It's a re-enactment with commentary from the climbers. Very well made I thought.
  21. 'Elephant King' Low budget but quite enjoyable. About 2 brothers in Chiang Mai. It never made general release for obvious reasons. Judge for yourself... http://www.fastpasstv.com/.
  22. 'Vicky, Christina, Barcelona'. Enjoyed it. Good acting, good writing, nice location. Not a great movie but a refreshing change from Woody Allen's usual psychoanalytical whining I thought.
