  1. Darkest Hour [2017] Set in the early days of World War 2, the movie is of interest for the exceptional lead performance rather than the mundane screenplay. DVD screener is fairly watchable.
  2. Call Me By Your Name [2017] Coming of age gay romance, with a peach scene that will be hard to erase from your memory forever. Set in scenic Northern Italy has some top acting. Has to be the gayest movie out there in mainstream so probably will sweep the Oscars! I'm sure it will go down with the Thai360 crowd!
  3. The Shape Of Water [2017] An aquatic R rated equivalent of Beauty And The Beast is interesting for its unusual theme and performances but overall is more style than any substance. Available in Dvd screener format.
  4. The Florida Project [2017] An original kids’-eye-view of unconventional troubled family life living out of a motel room on the outskirts of Disney World, worth watching.
  5. Some much better FHD rips out now so worth watching again!
  6. Last Flag Flying [2017] Well made US road trip of three Vietnam War vets back together after 30 years to bury one if their own sons killed in the more recent Iraqi war. A mix of opinions on war and patriotism with some very funny moments make for a memorable movie now out in very watchable Dvd screener format at the moment.
  7. Hangman [2017] Mediocre at best serial killer thriller with the Hangman game theme is formulaic and full of holes. What was Pacino thinking playing second fiddle the bland Karl Urban in this dross? Should be a Raspberry award contender.
  8. Kenny [2017] Well made documentary portrait of Liverpool football club player and player manager Kenny Dalglish through good times and the bad of Heysel and Hillsborough.
  9. Battle Of The Sexes [2017] Entertaining humorous drama recreates the actual events leading to Billy Jean Kings tennis match against the older sexist Bobby Rigg.
  10. Stairway To Heaven (A Matter of Life and Death) [1946] Recently restored for Bluray release in full HD quality, the classic British second World War fantasy of an aviator who cheats death but has to justify his life before a celestial courtroom. Interesting now for its creativeness of the period.
  11. Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri [2017] One of the years more memorable films is a well acted dark comedy drama of a woman's plight to get justice for her dead daughter through billboard advertising. The Dvd screener out now is very watchable with no watermarks.
  12. Out in 1080p HD rip if that will do? Pretty good quality.
  13. The Foreigner [2017] B movie actioner with Chan and Brosnan taking any story they can get these days it seems. Based on the 1992 Stephen Leather book The Chinaman, the story might have made more sense back then with its Irish terrorist theme.
  14. The downside of being a bomb disposal technician is that it takes until New Year's Day to open the Christmas presents.
