  1. Knight Of The Cups [2015] Terrence Malick makes some weird sh!t and that's a good thing, but this movie is barely a movie, more a string of nice images strung together with some well known actors improvising throughout. A waste of time for some.
  2. Florence Foster Jenkins [2016] Well polished formulaic historical comedy drama about the singer who could not sing.
  3. Get Out [2017] Available online with HC (hard coded subtitles). New thriller satirizing racism as only American can make.

  5. The Lobster [2016] Enjoyably strange black comedy/drama piece surrounding a single man who must find a true partner or risk turning into a lobster.
  6. Gold [2016] BRay Rip. Enjoyable but forgettable movie based on the Bre-X mining scandal of the 90's. Worth watching for the lead if only once. Partly shot in Thailand.
  7. Logan [2017 download with HC] If you're into super hero movies (I'm not) this is one of the better more stylish ones.
  8. Sing Street [2016] Irish feel good rom-com set in the 80's that can be forgiven the cheesy cliches with some good Irish humor and a great soundtrack.
  9. The Finest Hours [2016] Based on a true sea disaster in the 1950's off the coast of Massachusetts, the movie itself a bit of a disaster with some of the most wooden acting imaginable.
  10. Kong, Skull Island [2017] Available with Korean HC in HD. Overpaid well known actors hamming it up in a b-movie script to some good special effects of a 1000 foot tall ape. Some won't believe it.
  11. Life, Animated [2016] Feel good documentary of a how a guy has overcome his autism to communicate with others through his knowledge of Disney characters.
  12. The Nice Guys [2016] Disappointing comedy PI buddy genre caper set in the seventies that was probably more fun to make than watch. Story so tedious it drowns out the jokes.
  13. Green Room [2015] Well done blood and guts thriller but all seems rather pointless. Includes Capt Picard in it as a neo-nazi for interests sake and a good cover of a Dead Kennedys song.
  14. An odd job guy knocks on a front door and asks owner if there's any odd jobs he needs doing around the house. Owner replies he could paint the porch if he likes with the tin of paint he has in the shed out back. Two hours later odd job man knocks on door again to say the jobs done, "and by the way its not a Porsche it's a BMW".
  15. My son was thrown out of school today for letting a girl in his class give him a hand-job. I said "Son, that's three schools this year! You'd better stop before you're banned from teaching altogether."
  16. The Red Cross just knocked on my door and asked if we could contribute towards the floods in Pakistan. I said, "We'd love to, but our garden hose only reaches the driveway."
  17. My wife suggested I get myself one of those penis enlargers, so I did. She's 23.
  18. Nocturnal Animals [2016] Top notch thriller with style and some catchy jarring imagery of flesh right from the start that keeps the tempo and interest high.
  19. Hidden Figures [2016] I really dislike films like this. An interesting 'true' story mired in the usual Hollywood trappings of stereotype racists and cliche.
  20. Steve Jobs [2015] Good theatrical piece that is better than the earlier jOBS [2013] as it keeps the viewer interested in an otherwise rather dull subject of Apple computers that one (like me) might have no interest in whatsoever.
  21. Hail, Caesar! [2016] This is a slog through 100 minutes of self indulgence, that's time you'll wish was spent doing something else.
  22. Room [2015] Mesmerizing well made movie covers a topical subject albeit fictional of kidnapping, imprisonment and what happens on the outside. One of the better movies I've seen.
  23. Snowden [2016] Quite enjoyed this political thriller, even though it follows straight on from the documentary CitizenFour which is better still.
  24. Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) Commendable adaptation but the 1967 version edges it for me.
