  1. THE BIG SHORT. A must see for those who can comprehend why the world turns.
  2. Me thinks the children of Ms Noland have a tad bit of humor.
  3. "Too many people - one room" is what the desk clerk stated on my first trip to LOS." The taxi driver, two gals, and one mate were standing at the elevator as I tried to get one room. Note: I was on limited budget back then. "The taxi driver is not staying in room" I told the desk clerk. It was about 02:00 AM after a long flight. We 4 did get the room. And the taxi driver was happy. I went to Trip Advisor about the Stable Lodge. A Mr. Flemming wrote the last review and according to his review - this hotel is under new management. Assuming this is the same hotel.
  4. Hotels in Bangkok, Thailand. Update. Yes, there are many threads on this fine board about accommodation in Bangkok, Thailand. Yet it might be time to update the bestest hotels. For the wandering farang tourist. Bestest is defined by your parameters. From an un-airconditioned hostel to the Landmark on Sukhumvit. How about a a name and address or location. And of course price. In the spirit of internationalism - Baht, Euro, Pound, US Dollar, AUD, NZD, DKK, or any currency that you actually use. In other words, where do you stay, amount, location, why . . . and any extra tidbits you can add about hotel and about location.
  5. “A California student was embarrassed and distressed after a picture of her wearing an Islamic head scarf, or hijab, appeared in her high school yearbook with the false name "Isis Phillips," a Muslim advocacy group said on Sunday.†Gotta love the subtle racism exhibited by the younger generation. Or possibly the printing company. LINK Not an accident in my opinion. I recall my HS yearbook. Two gals from the yearbook committee whoe didn't know me came around and asked me what sports and activities I had been in at HS. I just made it all up. Water Polo Luge Table Tennis Basket Weaving None of which the HS actually offered or had. And yes, it is all printed under my yearbook picture!
  6. Well, Flash, some are abandoning the Republican ship ! “WASHINGTON — Republican Congressman Carlos Curbelo (Fla.) said Thursday he won’t ever support Donald Trump for president, and left the door open to voting for Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton instead.†LINK
  7. Of course, you realize that this was the punch line in the classic porn movie Deep Throat with Linda Lovelace. Circa: 1972. I'm surprised that we don't have more porn history buffs here !
  8. Gallippoli. Now that was a disaster. Gotta love the generals and the main decision makers.
  9. Eisenhower and Nixon both WON !
  10. I am fearful that my former business partners, ex-wives, girlfriends, children will find my name on this list. What should I do? “Documents leaked Sunday from a Panama-based firm, which sells offshore shell companies, purport to show corruption and questionable business practices of the world’s politicians, billionaires, entertainers, athletes, drug barons, and others.†LINK And which category from short list above do you fall under?
  11. No sex for you ! Unless it is legitimate marital sex. And by my calculations - 98% of board members here would be arrested immediately if they ever entered the state of Mississippi USA. The other 2% are virgins (and you know who you are). Yes, we need more of these Christian Sharia laws. “Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant has signed a controversial "religious freedom" bill into law. The legislation, HB 1523, promises that the state government will not punish people who refuse to provide services to people because of a religious opposition to same-sex marriage, extramarital sex or transgender people.†LINK
  12. Always carry a piece cause one never knows when it will be needed. “More than 25,000 people have signed a petition to allow firearms inside the Republican National Convention being held in Cleveland in July.†LINK
  13. “Bernie Sanders has won Alaska and Washington state, multiple news sources project. And neither state's vote was close, with the Vermont senator scoring double-digit victories over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.†LINK
  14. A soldiers best friend. http://youtu.be/_B9Tu2dJlf4
  15. F-Troop. Well, it's not a movie/film. A TV show. Viewed the entire series/episodes. Wrangler Jane was just 15 years old when she auditioned for the part. She forged her birth certificate. Nice eye candy for that time that era.
  16. In the spirit of internationalism - your Mobile or Cell phone. What do you do the most? Actually speak to contact or text to contact ? Granted, in some/most plans/payments - text is less money. I see more and more younger folks - texting as opposed to speaking with someone. It's as if the sender does have a message but the sender actually does not wish to speak or talk to other person. What is more use on your cell/mobile phone - talk or text?
  17. "An anti-Trump Super PAC unleashed a Facebook ad in Utah which featured a nude photo of Melania Trump, from her days as a model." LINK I will not stoop so low as to post this nude picture. I have principals, morals, and ethics.
  18. What cell phone brand/model do you have and why? Price? Features? OS? Gift? Stolen?
  19. There are so many that will refuse to vote for Trump providing a good margin for Hilary and in doing so - dilute the senate Republican vote. New Hampshire: First-termer Kelly Ayotte is probably the most vulnerable Republican in the Senate. She’s facing a strong opponent in popular Democratic Governor Maggie Hassan, who announced her Senate bid in October. New Hampshire voters have supported Democrats in five of the past six presidential races. This gives Hassan an edge. Possible Democratic pickup. Illinois: Republican Mark Kirk rode the GOP wave to victory in 2010, but this year he’s facing a tight race for re-election in a state where voters typically support a Democrat for president and where the other Senate seat is held by Dick Durbin, a popular Democrat. Representative Tammy Duckworth is likely to be the Democratic candidate for Senate. An Iraq War veteran, Duckworth served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and suffered severe combat wounds, losing both of her legs and damaging her right arm. She was elected to Congress in 2012 and re-elected two years later. Right now she is leading Kirk in most of the statewide polls, and Kirk is considered the underdog. Possible Democratic pickup. LINK
  20. “Prediction Markets Give Democrats A 72 Percent Chance Of Keeping The White House†LINK
  21. One source claims this. “Earlier this month, infamous hacker collective Anonymous declared "war" on Donald Trump who they accuse of being a fascist and seeking to institute a dictatorship in America. We're not sure how many people took them seriously and we're almost positive Trump himself got a good, hearty laugh at the threat (after all, the group also declared "war" on Bakr al-Baghdadi) but on Thursday, the group claims it has released Trump's phone number and social security number.†LINK
  22. Viewed that one today. Yes, a tad of excess. But, in bits and pieces . .. . I have been in or personally viewed similar people/situations. There is a whole different world out there that most do not see or comprehend !
  23. Just out for a simple swim ! “A man scuba diving in Florida somehow survived being sucked into a nuclear power plant in a terrifying log flume ride†LINK
