  1. That's what I use, works very good, hopefully more devices will add direct vpn support in due course but if I can find a router that allows to set it in the configuration that would solve it for everything.
  2. How are you streaming the VPN stuff? Does the ATV let you configure the tunnel in the device itself or does it need to stream through another device? I'm looking into this now but don't want to rely on other devices, want the streaming straight from the router to the tv. I have a question on this in the Tech section, looking for a modem/router with built in VPN so I don't need any other device.
  3. So you want to be a Thai General.
  4. Available on torrent (and no doubt others), enjoy them again!
  5. Mel Smith, 60 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23388743
  6. That annoys the shit out of me. I get the fact that most filums require a suspension of disbelief but that's worse than the unlimited ammunition magazines most movie guns seem to possess!
  7. I'm no fan of American tv, generally, might give it a go to see how I find it though after all the noise.Gotta find something to do in this town.
  8. I'm in that shithole right now, well Doha, kind of on the edge but still a shithole..Sill the money is, um, well just lets say it's enough. Walking in the souk last night I saw a shop selling those white masks, nearly bought a few to take home.
  9. Huh! Says who? I got it, didn't even have to read it twice. Confession, I was once married to a soap opera addict. That rather explains the 'once'!
  10. I have a similar problem with one pc having iTunes and 2 devices belonging to 2 different people with 2 completely different seperate sets of contacts, mp3's, apps etc. I'm sure it's workable but it seems less than intuitive to me.
  11. Ha! And there I was thinking you would be trying to emulate this in some dark back soi bar edumactin' a bunch of Bangkok's finest about the 'real art'. Ah well it seems you've settled for the real thing! Trust it was a good one with all the pallaver.
  12. Was it not Burns night just a wee while ago? Thinking there might have been a round of Haggis recipe's or at least places in The Kok to enjoy a suitably poetic harlot, or three.
  13. No fitttings in the bathroom is common too. Usually you are just buying the shell and since everyone has different ideas they leave it up to you to design, and pay for, the kitchen etc. A lot of Thais still don't use a kitchen hardly in any case, only eating out, others only cook outside, a good idea sometimes, think frying fresh chillies in the house!!! A lot of newer places are leaving the floors bare because clients want different materials but again it saves the builders costs whilst the house price stays pretty much the same of course.
  14. Well I never knew Elton John wore nappies. Live and learn, huh!
  15. Might just be me but that sentence does not seem right somehow.
  16. In their bid to keep emulating Singapore, Washington Square will be rebuilt as a 40 story whore house. Bangkok's answer to Orchard towers.
  17. The way I read it, your take on the article is what its all about. Here's the thing, what is 'Not The Nation'? If you can answer 'A (somewhat) humorous poke in the eye with a sharp stick at all and sundry' you get a gold star. Maybe not a good idea to take their reporting in any way seriously.
  18. Given what you have to negotiate these days on the lower part of Sukhumvit I think 22 is relatively pleasant. In so far as any inner city red light slum tourist attraction ever could be. I will be strolling that very soi this coming Friday, er tomorrow.
  19. It's just that they lower the tone of a whorehouse. Should be caged when not in use.
  20. Denny's attracts the airline crowd that I think stay at the Imperial just down the soi. Beware the large female farang FA's that get in their occasionally. The boss lady, Som, also now has the place across the street in the Regency Park??? Place used to be Pickles, now called, er, Som's. Good food and the girls will fetch it for you if you want to dine at Denny's. It might be open air but the atmosphere at Denny's seems more pub than bar, YMMV.
