Arnos in the new Hyatt Regency Suk Soi 13 has a daily special burger/side/drink for 220 baht.

All I see there is one ugly 28-year-old NBA player relaxing with a couple of basketballs.

In his first issue of Playboy, his centerfold was Marylyn Monroe. It turns out, he bought the resting place next to her and will be buried there. I don't think Joe DiMaggio would be very happy about this arrangement.
How do you think he felt about JFK?

So glad to hear all is well on Soi 7!
(What still remains of it... )

Anyone who buys that has never set foot in a bar in Thailand."Thai women, especially those from the northeast region, are soft-spoken and submissive," she said.

It seemed to me that place had been going downhill for the last 3 or 4 years. The quality and attitudes were so bad that I didn't bother to finish my drink the last time I was there in February.

I drink cheaper in Cambodia and Lao than Thailand.
I know draft Angkor is $0.50
Vietnam / VND 7,500 (£0.25)
I like it over here
That's 3 they missed... how many more errors in this survey? I guess that's what happens when you get your data off the internet instead of doing a bit of footwork.

Thank You, Goodbye
It looks like it really is the end of the stick...
Please keep your fellow BMs posted on your new & future escapades Kuhn Stickman!

Try EVA Air. IMO better than Korean, Japan, Cathay, or any of the US carriers.

I'll miss your photos and unique insights... been a fan since you started around the time of the old Friday meetings at Woodstock.
Fingers crossed...

Holy human excreta!

Looking at that graphic it appears the launch site was closer to Japan than N. Korea. This pudgy douchebag keeps pushing the limits of what the rest of the world will tolerate as he continues to starve his people.
Any predictions from BMs on the outcome of this escalation?

Rumor has it that Maxine Waters will not only step up to fill the time slot but also be singing the new "Factor" theme song: "it's a Man's World."who will take his place,. someone even more objectionable to bring up ratings ?

And another DNF for poor Fernando...Bahrain this weekend

Well, he's already won Monaco twice, and considering the abysmal performance of the Honda powerplant in his McLaren MCL32, why not go for something that excites him? Given his talent and the superior performance of Honda's IndyCar engine the odds may be better for him in Indianapolis. And as a bonus we get to see Jenson Button back for another race at Monaco!

Cool! This should be interesting....

Smaller portions, warmer climate, and more exercise in my case. Here in California I average 5,000 - 10,000 steps per day even though I bicycle daily and workout 4 times/wk. In Thailand with no bicycle or car I try to walk everywhere I can, and clock between 12,000 - 28,000 steps daily. I always drop at least 5 or 6 lbs. in the 6 weeks I spend each year in LOS. I try to eat healthy but essentially eat what I want, just less of it now that I'm officially old...I've found I lose weight when in Thailand <snip> Mainly due to smaller portions.

Tuesday evening, Wednesday night 'I was in the bars of the NEP and had lots of fun and also a few touching moments with a couple of girls.
Nasiadai – Bakwahn
I was there as well: Likes - BKK Bunnies & Billboard: Dislikes - Mandarin, Mercury, Rainbow Bars, Butterfly.
At Cowboy: Likes - the 2 houses (Doll & Crazy) Dislikes - the Arab's bars and all of the bars where the phuying wear fucking pantyhose...

That's one of the reasons I make point of stopping in each year. That, and the music is better than most of the other SC bars. This trip it seems the girls in the Gogo bars are more friendly and/ or desperate than in recent high seasons. Anyone else get that same impression?
BTW the bar was packed for the contest and everyone really seemed to enjoy the show, especially the girls, and of course the judges.

It's happening this Saturday February 4th. Any BMs (besides me) planning to attend?

"I'm a haptic guy"
Too funny. Thanks for the play-by-play. That bar and the large one upstairs were my favorites in Nana last year. I'll be back in 3 weeks to update my preferences.
Keep the impressions coming...

Modern Optical on Sukhumvit near the Asoke BTS station was recommended by a BM (Cav irrc?) to me years ago and I have had specs made by the owner (Pirom Yoshementha) each year since. One pair from him and I quit going to the chains (Top Charoen, etc.)

Not much in the nightlife forums
in Nightlife
Posted
I haven’t checked into the site for a while but every time I do it seems the topics tend to be political and not much about nightlife.
Spending a couple of months once again for my annual Thailand trip (celebrating my 30th year) I still cherish the memories of my first visits and those upstairs meetings in Woodstock. Very happy to still be able to enjoy the sights while appreciating how much it has changed. I do miss the company of all of my buddies who’ve not been as lucky and are no longer around to share the memories.
