  1. Coronavirus: NZ health minister breaks lockdown at beach 1 hour ago Share this with Facebook Share this with Messenger Share this with Twitter Share this with Email Share Related Topics Coronavirus pandemic Image copyright Getty Images New Zealand's health minister has called himself an "idiot" after breaking the country's lockdown by driving his family to the beach. David Clark admitted the 12-mile (20km) drive was "a clear breach of the lockdown principles". He offered his resignation to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, but kept his job because of the ongoing crisis. But he has been been demoted in cabinet rankings and also lost a secondary position of associate finance minister. On Sunday, Scotland's chief medical officer resigned for making two trips to her second home during the lockdown.
  2. I have got no idea why anyone would pay £130 for a bottle of blended whisky, no matter what colour the label is! I can get 3 quality single malts for that price, including my favourite Caol Ila 12 yo, and probably still have some change!
  3. I received a letter from the NHS advising me not to leave my home for at least 12 weeks because the medication I'm taking for my psoriasis is an immunosuppressant and I am therefore at a higher risk of severe illness if I contract coronavirus! Think I'll wean myself off the psoriasis meds as there's no chance of me staying at home for 3 months!
  4. YMCA by The Village People has inspired partygoers to wave their arms around on countless dancefloors since 1978. It's feelgood. It's camp. It's cheesy. The US Library of Congress has also now decided it is historically important. The library has added the disco classic to its National Recording Registry, which preserves for posterity audio that is "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant".
  5. Wish I was in Luang Prabang right now 🤔
  6. Kenny Rogers (1938 - 2020) Kenny Rogers has died aged 81 his family announced overnight on Friday - the husky voiced singer was known for hits such as The Gambler and Coward Of The County.
  7. I never realized that Charlie sold jewellery and food! 🤔
  8. Most tourists know nothing about Songkran, just that it is an opporchancity to soak and be soaked 🙄
  9. That sounds very logical but does logic apply in LOS?
  10. "Penile fracture is rupture of one or both of the tunica albuginea, the fibrous coverings that envelop the penis's corpora cavernosa. It is caused by rapid blunt force to an erect penis, usually during vaginal intercourse, or aggressive masturbation. It sometimes also involves partial or complete rupture of the urethra or injury to the dorsal nerves, veins and arteries."
  11. I bought one online but cannot confirm if it actually smells like Gwyneth's cunt! It's quite pleasant actually but certainly doesn't smell like any cunt I have snift, and there have been many, but then Gwyneth's diet is quite different from most SE Asian ladies so that probably explains it?
  12. Must be about time to actually use these Trident missiles we've spent so much money on!
  13. Free if you live in Scotland! 🤔
  14. Gets 8/10 from IMDB, 92% from Rotten Tomatoes and 83 from Metacritic, praise indeed!
  15. How about changing the name of the Board to USA Thread.com? With at least 95% of all board activity in the USA Thread forum this is clearly the topic of most interest to members and the name change might attract a few more?! 😲 😉
  16. Fortunately I've got a very capacious bladder 😆
  17. Just a small point guys, but it's not England who are leaving the EU (they can't as they are not a member of the EU) it's the UK that is leaving!
  18. Big Game (2014) "When Air Force One is shot down by terrorists leaving the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson) stranded in the wilderness, there is only one person around who can save him - a 13-year old boy called Oskari. In the forest on a hunting mission to prove his maturity to his kinsfolk, Oskari had been planning to track down a deer, but instead discovers the most powerful man on the planet in an escape pod. With the terrorists closing in to capture their own "Big Game" prize, the unlikely duo must team up to escape their hunters. As anxious Pentagon officials observe the action via satellite feed, it is up to the President and his new side-kick to prove themselves and survive the most extraordinary 24 hours of their lives." Absolute GARBAGE, one of the worst films I have ever seen!
  19. Looks like Mikel Arteta will be announced as the new Arsenal manager tomorrow. I'd be OK with that.
  20. What crash are we talking about?
  21. Big gains for the Tories, huge losses for Labour, giving the Tories a very healthy House of Commons majority of 80 (biggest majority since Maggie in 1987), which should allow them to get things done, particularly Brexit. On the down side the SNP gained in Scotland against both Labour and the Tories so no chance of shutting up the Poison Dwarf and her relentless push for Indyref2!
  22. The Royal Golf and Country Club is on the outskirts of Bangkok and is a really lovely course. Played there a lot in the 90's.
  23. UK General Election tomorrow 12 December 2019. That means no sleep for me as I tend to sit up all night watching the results come in.
