Khun_Kong
Rick F and I were discussing the erroneous exchange rate that the BKK Post has been listing this week on their front page. Sometimes it's correct, but then it randomly rises to the 52.94 number! BTW, I am looking at the online version.
gummigut
Don't know where they are sourcing their data, but stats do get muffed up. Even for the big boys. Funny how bad the screwups can be or how long they can extend for. I was tracking the exchange rate and really like the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's format. They had the exact same problem, they stated the FX rate at 10 baht over the actual rate. I informed them of it in February 2001 and the problem progressed for two months. It finally had to go to a VP of the bank before it was resolved (still got his email, one Douglas E....). Too bad they seem to have cutbacks as the Chicago FRB doesn't offer the same services. Indeed, trying to use search gives you: "Search Feature Unavailable The search feature on this site is currently being upgraded and is not available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for visiting the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Web site. Return to the homepage. " gaaahhh <<burp>>
