Guest Posted March 22, 2003 Report Share Posted March 22, 2003 On this occasion,I am thinking of travelling to lesser known locations in Indonesia,such as Medan and Surabaya.What are the most convenient ways to travel?With holiday time being precious,I would prefer to fly.Do these cities, and perhaps Bandung have airports? Presumably flights are not expensive within Indonesia.I was planning to go to Singapore from Europe.With the present current affairs,it would probably not be a good idea to take a flight directly back from Indonesia to Europe. We may not all agree on their level of paranoia, but its better than just flying into Asia 'blind'. There are several members on this board who live in Indonesia - hopefully, they can give you an even more accurate picture of the current climate re Westerners in Indonesia. Good luck. soppy Posted March 23, 2003 Report Share Posted March 23, 2003 there is an extensive, and ridiculously cheap, internal flight network in indonesia. bandung, medan and surabaya all have airports tho whether it s worth flying to bandung from jakarta is debateable...
