khwaimaisabai
Says ib13: even it it turns out aeroflot I believe they're not too bad Hi ib, Just out of interest, do Aeroflot still use Russian built aircraft? If so, don't they have a bad safety record - making this a somewhat high risk option? Khwai

Their safety record has improved dramatically, nothing compared to the times of the USSR. By all standards, Aeroflot is not much different from Western airlines. Minuman
The last time I flew with them it was a 777 on the Moscow - Bangkok -leg. None too bad at all, comfy seats in the business and above average food.
bangkokbutcher
About time too, I will never understand why the travel agents do it. Do they think some people will be too scared to fly with certain airlines?? ::
Guest
Not sure of their reasoning. I thought it may be that they did not want to be seen to be downgrading their product.
