She could use skype, if her family and friends had internet access, which they don't. If she wants Vonage bad enough, let her go out and get a job, particularly since the 5 year old will be going to school full time and she will have the time. The way the internet is progressing, many people in the U.S. are dumping cable and using the internet to view channels that were once reserved for cable. There are around 15 local channels that I can get for free, which includes local news and ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX. If its any consolation, I am still paying $100 per month for my wife's health insurance policy in Thailand. Her rationale is that she can't give it up, since she gets the entire amount paid back when the term policy is up. I told her to get her money's worth of it this summer.
