It's the first Asian island carnival and even Taksin will be on Samui on the 18th. I'm not sure what the program is, but I'll keep you updated. It's supposed to become an annual event. I went on the first day and it seemed successfull, very busy and and lots of things to do, including a good selection of food on offer from all the hotels on the island.
