Anyway, I did meet a couple at the bar at the Flamingos Hotel in Phnom Penh. Guy did marry local gal and did take her home to Florida, USA. Quite attractive gal. Ethnic Vietnamese. Family stayed behind or was left behind during the pull out. That was her story anyway. She latched onto this middle aged punter like a bee on honey. There is a movie, based on a true story, about a young German journalist in training, who fell in love with Khmer BG and later learnt that she had HIV. He brought her to Germany, they have kids now and live in Cambo and Germany.
