Guest
I've just been reading the word lists a few times, and repeat the linguaphone excercises. I suppose it will come with time. I remember when I was in junior school we used to be given a number of words to learn every week. This is a good idea and I think I will aim to learn about 30 new words a week, which should mean I make good progress. What I have also found useful is a bbc thai phrasebook which I bought today. Its more meaningful to me now than if I hadnt started the ling. course. It sums up phrases and grammer in lamens terms (which is good for me) that the ling course doesnt do. Its also fits nicely in my pocket.
jirve77
One of the main problems I found was trying to build a vocabulary in a systematic way. To this end I have found a liitle book which has proved invaluable. I bought it in Asia Books for 150baht I is called 'The Main of Thai Vocabulary' I have memorised all the words in every category, about 1000 words in all.
