kamui
Using your own urine is not unsusal in German traditional natural medicine, but I would not try it.
Old Hippie
My whole take on this is simple, Money. If these remedies actually did anything, then I would assume the major pharmacutical companies would devise a way to charge 37 times the price for them...Have read some reports that suggest some of them work better as prevenatives, rather than cures... Guest
they actually do something similar. sending their researchers out and get patents on a lot of the traditional herbs and mixtures. lots of problems because that. another example of empirically based remedies in western medicine is the main ingredient of dylantin, one of the main medicaments used to avoid fits for epileptics, but also against phantom pain for amputees, etc. or the use of medicaments like captagon, ephedrin and ritalin for ADD patients. nobody knows exactly yet why those amphetamines work for ADD people as downers, but they do work (and have some not so nice long term side effects...).
