"classy" naughty nightlife options

Ok, so I know the subject may be a contradiction in terms, but...

I've been in Bangkok for three years now, and I've just recently re-entered the nightlife scene. Frankly Nana and Cowboy are just getting a little old. Actually, I guess it's bar-girls that are getting a little old, but I digress.

I'm looking for a place that is just a little higher class of women, with decent booze, music that is played at a reasonable level, a place you can actually relax in. I'd certainly be willing to pay a premium for this.

By higher class, I mean a place not crawling with girls wearing only a number, from nakhon nowhere, hounding you to "buy me cola". And yet can still have a hassle-free one night fling for a certain amount of renumeration.

I'm not a snob by any means, and I have sampled the ladies of issan with great pleasure, and had some of my best times in bangkok at the dens of sin along sukhumvit. But I guess what I'm saying is at this point, "I've been there, done that."

Things I have tried:

Artist Bars along soi 33: Essentially the same girls but tarted up in awfully tacky evening gowns. The music was at a decent level, but the same crappy booze.

Eden Club: Ok I almost tried this one. I had high hopes, but once I walked inside and sat down at the bar, my libido took a nose dive as I surveyed the scene of some of the skankiest women I've seen in this city. I just got up and left. I may have just been there on a bad day, because a lot of my friends reccomend the place. But honestly nana and cowboy have far far far better talent than here.

Things I haven't tried:

"members only clubs" Curious, I wonder if anyone has a line on these, like exotica on thonglor.

Massage palaces on Rachadapisek road. I imagine more of the same, but I could be wrong.

Anyone help me out?

I remember reading some reviews of the clubs, very decent and expensive venues. Not sure, if this was on the board or the member section. May be, a search will help?

if you would like to have a real "higher level" entertainment in BKK, climb to the second floor bars in Patpong :neener:

for "member's only" clubs do a search under names like Pegasus, Once, Piano, Zeus, Monroe etc.

there are many more Karaoke Bars, which have quite some beauties

all more upscale massge parlours have lounges as well like Poseidon, Emanuelle, Nataree, Victoria's Secret, Honolulu

you could go to Cafe's and hook up with the lookers among the female singers

try upscale Escort Services if you need to burn some money

Hi,

Been to the Piano a few times and I would agree that this is likely what the OP is looking for.

The entertainment complexes on Ratchada are an option as well, as mentioned, and I would like to recommend Poseidon (there is a lounge on the 3rd floor which is quite nice) and Claudia (karaoke, it is likely that not all girls are available and some of those that are may need a bit of wooing first).

Sanuk!

Mister Jetlag,

we seem to be brothers in mind as it looks. Quality booze with decent music and somehow educated ladies. No easy, not easy.

I do agree with Khunsanuk's () Piano and would add Gentleman's No.1 Club or whatever that place is called. Soi 1. Poseidon or many of the other big places at Ratchadapisek are enjoyble once you are in a group. The best to my current knowledge should be Piano.

>Upscale hostess type of bar. Live music. Costly.

It's on Soi Ekkamai, Sukhumvit Soi 63 (left side if coming from Sukhumvit)

Have never been there but walked past many times. It's on Suk and Soi 40, not exactly on the corner, few yards into the Soi 40 (one way street from Suk). Not in Soi 63.

I think we are talking the same place.
