Tilak/Tiruk/... Good thing?

I know what the word means, but it seems that it is freely used by Bar girls and therefore seems insincere.

How about in a regular relationship, that is, between a Thai woman (professional career woman, non-prostitute) and her real boyfriend (Thai or farang)? Is it normal for this endearment to be used?

Is it used often?

If several months in to a relationship a girlfriend starts using this term, is that a good thing and does it mean she's getting serious?

Jasmine?
