Guest
I looked, but haven't seen any posts about this, so sorry if it missed this if it is somewhere else. What are things like with NEP/SC/patpong right now? Business as usual or closed? If they are closed, any idea when they will open?
StoneSoup
All bars are open. For this week, bars have been told to keep things "clean" (covered), and Bangrak is still enforcing the "no alcohol during the afternoon" at Patpong. But - NEP bargirls may start dying of mass starvation any day now - virtually all of the on-the steet food is GONE from Soi 4 ! SS Estne volumen in toga, an solum tibi libet me videre? Guest
May be a good time for them to clean/wash the sidewalk by nana plaza.
Old Hippie
Actually, it was nice to be able to walk down Sukhumvit, with out all the clutter...
Fatbastard
Agree with that OH, driving back home from Lower Suk on Sunday evening, what a difference ! virtually no traffic and clean sidewalks without all those ragged arsed stalls, it almost looked like normal first world city scene. Whitney
Says Old Hippie: Actually, it was nice to be able to walk down Sukhumvit, with out all the clutter... Are the tuk tuk drivers and motorcycle taxis gone to? I was wondering if Sukhumvit from soi 4 to Asok Road has been pretty much cleared out. cardinalblue
Are the food vendors gone due taking holiday or were they asked to leave for APEC? They do wash them down every morning at 6:45am as i walk through them headed to work.... Cardinalblue
khunsanuk
Hi, Asked (well...) to leave as far as I know. Sanuk!
Pom Michael
Must have been politely asked .... Some of the apartment complexes next to the Inner Expressway (Rama 9 / Cheang Wattana) were also "requested" not to allow residents to hang out their laundry to dry! Serious - I would not have believed it unless I saw it myself. Cheers!
