Pom Michael
Bangkok Baking Co. will be the bakery/snack shop for the Mariott. The old shop will be renovated and opened to make more room for the JW Cafe which needs the space. So, unless your idea of good nightlife includes the 50% after 6 pm discount, this won't be your hangout. Cheers!
Guest
First - there is interesting new activity ongoing at the J.W. Marriott. As best as I can tell, they are establishing a "Rivas" style lounge, right off the Sukhumvit sidewalk, almost next door to Blue Wave. There is some construction at the JW Marriott, but the sign above the construction had the words "baking" or "bakery" in it. Maybe there is more here than meets the eye and I certainly have no inside information on what JW Marriott up to, but looking at the signage I didn't get the impression this was going to be a Rivas style lounge, although I certainly agree this would be a good locale for such a place. Does any have any more current information on what the JW Marriott is up to?
