Guest
>>>And the problems remain. Youth crime and Thailand's reputation. Closing bars early may not be the answer but these are still serious matters for many Thais.<<< the first huge increase in youth crime came after (!!!) the beginning of the drug war. the numbers are out now, 2003 saw a 70% rise in gangrelated violence, and a 16% rise in rapes. it should be rather obvious that one cannot fight those issues by dictatorial means. and i promise you that if those closing laws and the curfiew will be enforced you will see another huge rise in crime. chuckwoww
I'm not looking for an argument just stating facts (!!!). And I promise you the current Thai government, rightly or wrongly, has made a correlation between youth crime and unrestricted nightlife.
