When he is there, he gives her additional money and supplies. Girl is now asking for additional 6,000, if guy wants her to go to school. WTF? My g/f has apt. in BKK, and makes 9.500 take home, after social security (college degree in computer science). Her portion for rent comes to 3,000. BTS to work is an additional 500. Leaves her 4,000 to live on, including mobile phone costs. This is in BKK, not Korat. She limits herself to 100 per day for food (3,000/month). Leaves her 1,000 spending money. 6,000/month for schooling in Korat? Is she studying to be a brain surgeon? In essence, she is asking what a farang school teacher can expect (approx.) to start off with, salary wise, with a 2 year degree, in BKK (not including her additional request for school money). It all comes down to what degree (luxury) this guy wants to keep her in. He's now sending almost a quarter of a million baht to her every 12 months. :: She now wants an additional 72,000 for school. This also works when the girl is working (regular job) and making her own money. I don't think the amount is that important as it should hopefully reflect what the guy can afford. What is so important and i can't reflect this enough is her attitude and how the girl balances you and your money contribution to her. I have had girls never say anything/never request more money and able to live within what i provided (she was developing a budget mentality) plus her own salary to girls who are never happy with what you give them and always wanted more in addition to paying for extras (clothing, car, jewelry. etc) I will flat out tell you if the girl falls in the latter category, she is history. I don't care how good looking, sweet, compatible, nice personality, etc she is, the relationship is unsustainable if money becomes the main focus of the relationship. Money management attitude is a reflection of character and it ranks right up there with integrity, honesty, caring and empathy because her money management attitude, in fact, defines those character traits..... It is stupid to send any money to a bar girl, seriously, if you think she wants out, then you have to be there, to try and do it long distance just wont work. Be there and it might, and only then a small might work. Never send these girls money, of course they ask for it, and of course, they could also get other jobs. I don't know about any one else, I have lived in Thailand for the past 11 weeks, my expenses for everything including utilities for running airconditioning is less than 10,000 Baht up North of Thailand. My brother who is a lawyer makes around 20,000Baht. A new grad. (BS) starts around 10,000Baht. On the other note, I like these "farangs" sending Thai women 20,000Baht a month so the money can generate someone else income, good for the Thai economy, please send the money!!!!! Both are *extremely* fine looking females. Both are cocktail waitresses at the Rio casino. Why? Cuz they did that to get through school and make about US$90K/year, 90+% of that in tax free tips. Tonight she asked what kind of work I do, I told her and now she thinks I make alot of money. Then she told me that she wants to open her own restaurant but needs a partner cos she has no funds.
