sayjann Posted July 10, 2004 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2004 right folks,i will give you a little scenario. i have just looked at the opening games of the PL(up to Aug 30th) and predicted what i think might be the scores. after doing that i came up with the following League Table. 1-Arsenal 2-Newcastle 3-Man Utd 4-Liverpool 5-Chelsea 6-Charlton 7-Blackburn 8-Southampton 9-Portsmouth 10-Birmingham 11-Middlesbrough 12-Aston Villa 13-Fulham 14-W.B.A. 15-Spurs 16-Bolton 17-Everton 18-Crystal Palace 19-Man City 20-Norwich. if i put this table against my predictions for Sept 1st i would have scored 2 points. i had no teams in the predicted positions(4 Points) and i had 2 teams in a position 1 place higher or lower that my prediction. i would definately have not gained any BONUS points for the most correct predictions. i refuse to believe no-one could not get more predictions right. i understand the questions raised and am trying to answer them in a way which comes across as simple. i have no problem with the scoring and all you have to do is send in your prediction and all will be done for you. the Competition probably needs to get up and going before it makes sense. so far only FlyP has entered his predictions and we need more Players. i will post the 1st scores on Sept 2nd and if any Player wants their points explained i will do this in private or on the Board.
