Guest
Has anybody tried Hutch's "Where are you" feature yet? They say you can tell where somebody is within 10 meters? Alsop, DTAC seems to have something very similar that was recently released. It seems it can be used to track vehicles. I wonder about people? Guest
Gee that was fast, at least for Hutch (Thailand) Here is what I found on them: On January 15, 2004, Hutch launched a location based service under the brand name "Navi". Hutch's service integrates Qualcomm's A-GPS, gpsOne and a solution developed in conjunction with Navitime from Japan. There are five Navi services including "Where are you", "Where am I", "MapSearch", "CarNavi", "Nearestplace", and includes built-in privacy control feature which can be set by the user to provides complete protection from unsolicited "where are you?" searches. The Kyocera KZ-850 and KZ-830 handsets currently support the service. Pricing is two Thai baht ($0.05 USD) for information about a location and a map search and four Thai baht ($0.10 USD) for a location fix and map display.
