some of the story

World health officials have issued their strongest warning yet about the global threat posed by bird flu.

The world is now in the gravest possible danger of a human flu pandemic triggered by the virus, Dr Shigeru Omi told a conference in Vietnam.

I saw in the news that a vaccine for humans has been developed in the States. However, only 2 or 3 million doses have been made. Should human to human transmission occur, who will decide who gets the vaccine?

In order for human to human transmission to take place, the virus would have to mutate. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the vaccine would even work. How can one develop a vaccine for a strain of virus which does not yet exist?

:dunno:

OK....I thought it was news because it was a NEWS report.

It has been on all the national news broadcasts here in the USA.

Even the thought of bird flu happening will keep many tourists away, but if it does get into the human population , look out.

Local governments will try to keep it hidden which will just make it worse !
