rickfarang
Greenspan seems to be doing an excellent job, but maybe with his cheap dollar policy, I'll be glad to see his term end after all. Right now, a 5 year CD in the U.S. can bring more than 4%, while there doesn't seem to be anything even close available in terms of saftey and return of investments in Thai Baht. Sundam's essay leaves me wondering, what can a poor American. boy do?
..
FYI, rate update. I got B40.10/$1 on 8 June and B40.28/$1 on June 10th from my US bank's ATM card. Looking at the Bangkok Bank website, the cash rate for big bills is now B40.54/$1. Cheers, SD
