Guest Posted October 20, 2001 Report Share Posted October 20, 2001 NPP, My answer is yes, but my recolection (not the final word) is that they typically are widely distributed in late Spring rather than in the Fall. Thailand has a different flu season than does the US. You may want to pick up a dose of the relatively new flu medicine named Relenza (Zanamivir) made by GlaxoWellcome. It doesn't treat the symptoms, it actually damages the virus. No real side effects, but it only is effective if you begin taking (inhalant) it within 48 hours of the first flu symptoms.
