samak
[color:"blue"]Hubby has not agreed on many things lately, it could be his mid-life crisis, not mine of course Jasmine luckily you are not yet totally farangish and show for once a typical thai attitude! Old Hippie
Maybe Hubby is just being a strong man! and standing up to the woman he loves, and the challanges she puts fourth! Sort of like someone else I know!
godolphin
Could I complicate matters a little by asking what it means when a Thai girl text messages and puts "na ja" at the end of the message? She is from Issan (yeah, I know "aren't they all").
samak
no this is not complicate! same as na krap/ka; particle emphasizing a demand or asking for confirmation/agreement

jasmine
[color:"blue"] no this is not complicate! same as na krap/ka; particle emphasizing a demand or asking for confirmation/agreement Very true, may I add that it is also used to soften the request, not make the request sound so demanding. Well, will somebody tell me how you do that in English? Of course, I am NOT demanding whatsoever. Jasmine ::

godolphin
Jasmine, Thanks for your further explanation. Is 'ja na' an expression used all over Thailand? My girlfriend is from Issan and speaks north-eastern dialect with her family. A little off the subject Jasmine but I would be interested to hear what you had to say about one of the latest Stickman reader's contributions by a writer named Arthur. Well worth the read.
