I make the Soi 7 Bier Garden my first stop, usually get the taxi from the airport to drop me there and get a "take-out"

order. I usually do a BG to Morning-Night run when i'm looking for some afternoon snatch. The trick in BG is not to get a seat too far back, so you can see who is coming in. It's one of the most dynamic scenes around. So don't get hooked up too fast, as your dream girl might be walking in as you're walking out.

I guess I just travel a bit better than some of you slobs. I'm neither dishevelled nor smelly on arrival. Maybe some of you less experienced travelers don't realize you can have a shave and clean up a bit in the airplane restroom.

Munch-you can see more about this here:

I haven't had any trouble finding a pretty young thing to escort me to my hotel.

Compared to many of the fellows I see in BG, I look like a prince in any condition I find myself in. I'm not trying to be disparagiong here, just responding to these comments.

It's not desperate by any measure. I find it entertaining to make it my first order of business upon arrival to secure a "Welcome to Thailand" screw.

I also enjoy checking in to the hotel with a girl in tow.

I didnt think you meant it literally, Poksat. Wouldnt it be more convenient to just drop off the luggage, check in the Hotel, shower and shave, and then hit the BG? I'd feel a lot better enjoying my beer and ogling the babes at my leisure than knowing some cab driver is waiting outside with my luggage. :)

Appropos to Khun_Kong's signature tagline:

"Caveat Emptor: Latin for "Welcome to Thailand."

Poskat, btw, will the N.F.L. Bears again be the strongest team in their division? That is, holding all the other teams up. :) I should talk with the record last year for my 9ers. :: :(

even when travelling BC and then taxi, no matter how much AC , you smell, beleive me. Maybee not stinking, but after not showering for 10-20 hours your body odors will get into your clothes, hair and all the rest. (that s a Fact for all of us)

therefor I always make sure I first hit the showers before doing anything else. The girls will not tell you, but your wife (if having one) will after some years of marriage.

Or business code is also when travelling more then three hours to always hit the showers for the meeting if possible..

One company I worked for had showers in all intl offices just for this purpose...

555555555555 Now I know you are winding us up. We are talking about the BG7 here. "Pretty" and "young" are NOT words used to describe any gal found in that establishment! "Thing" may be appropriate, tho'... :neener:

Well, then again, I suppose it could be your frame of reference. Afterall you *are* coming from farangland :dunno:.

Cheers,

SD
