Mentors Posted January 6, 2006 Report Share Posted January 6, 2006 from THE NATION today Thai Rak Thai Party executive Friday called on Culture Minister Uraiwan Thienthong to quit as party member now that her husband, Snoh Thienthong, has strongly attacked the party. Udon Thani MP Wichai Chaijitwanitchakul said since Snoh, the Wang Nam Yen faction, saw that the Thai Rak Thai was not good, Uraiwan should leave the party. Wichai said Uraiwan did not have to worry that she would lose her Cabinet seat as a minister needed not be a party member. Snoh has announced that his faction MPs would no longer vote in line with party's stand but would vote with conscience and would not support wrongdoers in the government. Wichai said Snoh was apparently trying to have the party expel him and his faction so that they could switch to another party without losing their parliamentary status. "We won't expel them because it will play into their game," Wichai said. Uraiwan Friday declined to make any comment regarding her husband's conflicts with the party. She simply walked away when reporters approached her for comments. --- - important to know is, that Godfather Snoh is the maker of Thaksin's political career!
