I lived in Bkk for 18 months and had a ball / fell into ALL of the traps etc. Cant say that I really understand what's going on in the minds of BG's, but have the following observations: - Young girls are attracted to youg guys, and I often saw BG's actively pursue / offer free sex to "handsome young guys" - However, they had a great deal of distrust for young guys (butterfly), and so this was strictly fun, AND: - In a choice situation would default to business (old guy with money) every time - Genuine affection (maybe even love) often develops - I was very often impressed at how (at least to me apparently) genuine the BG's were in thier dealings with customers. For example, if you indicated a sexual or other preference during bar "banter", this is typically taken as part of the deal and delivered on when you get back to the room - A while ago someone posted the view that BG's make over their natural mentality, to allow them cope with their station and role. I think this is the crux of the issue : The BG's are there to make money, they resolve themselves to and make the best of it. this process leads them to genuinely living the life - whilst sometimes grabbing the opportunity to have fun with a guy of an age that she would "naturally" be attracted to. Sorry to ramble, but I like a lot of others find this a very intersting issue. Incidentally, at 46 and in shape etc. I have no problems getting women in Aus. (just not in their 20's).
