paul101
She was on TV yesterday denying she knew they were from Laos but then put her foot in it by saying thai dancers are too expensive at 700 baht a day (I don't believe this) so she had to recruit girls like hers for 100+ baht a day. khunsanuk
Hi, Maybe not 700, but I wouldn't be that surprised. My wife danced during concerts like this when she was about 15-16 (which is already quite some time ago). These were local concerts with fairly unknown singers and back then she was already getting 200 Baht / day. I would imagine that the dancers for famous singers have much more experience and will therefore ask more pay. Sanuk!
paul101
But like teachers pay and taxi rates etc it does not seem to have gone up much in the last 10 years or so. I went out with a nok noi dancer three years ago, she had been at it for five years and she got 250 baht a day in the most famous troupe in the country. I'll have to ask and see what they do get these days.

The last time I went in there was three years ago, maybe unlucky. I did not mean to say football hooligans go in these places just that I avoid both types if possible. I must say you never seem to meet know it all loud mouth danes, swiss or swedes etc. It's just so annoying to be in a place where all you can hear is 'let me tell ya' or 'I just wanna say this' bellowed out. Perhaps not always so loud but more acting as if they own the place they are in, even when in another country. Maybe this is partly why Americans are so unpopular worldwide, their attitiude to everyone else. :: Paul, that wasn't by any chance the same day that they short changed you on your time at Eden, was it? Must've been a tough day in the office otherwise.
Central Scrutinizer
ikkrang, I asked my wife and Sis about this. Supposedly Sillyporn was asked to sing and do her show at a tambon (funeral?) in Sukhothai. Since she has a limited amount of dancers and the people hiring her wanted a bunch more dancers (they wanted 70 I was told) her booking agent went to a couple other guys who hired the extra dancers needed. Siriporn and her agent say they had no idea the dancers were illegals. They, the other two booking agent dudes, were paid something like 40,000 baht to get the extra girls for the show and were responsible for the payment to these extra dancers, not Siriporn or her booking agent. So at this amount it does seem they (Siriporn/booking agent) were expecting these guys to be paying more than 250 baht a head for 70 extra dancers. Either that or their commission is pretty damned good for their services. At 250 a head it would come to 17,500 baht for 70 dancers. With 40,000 baht their commission would be 22,500 baht. Looks like they did even better by hiring the illegals at 100 or 150 a pop for the gig, and someone likely ratted them out to the cops (probably some of her Thai dancers). Where the hell does a guy get 70 Lao dancing girls on short notice? And did Siriporn and her booking agent know they were illegals? I'd say so from her earlier comment PeterPaul quoted. :: Now can I get back to beating PeterPaul with a wet mackrel for his silly inane comments that he inserted so cleverly into these posts here? (Sorry for the thread hijack, but I couldn't let these ridiculous slurs to a fine eating establishment pass by without comment.) So, there you have it ikkrang. Or at least the story my lasses have on this. Cent
Encore
Thanks cent, this explanation seems to make some sense. >(Sorry for the thread hijack, but I couldn't let these ridiculous slurs to a fine eating establishment pass by without comment.) < Eden/ Fine eating establishment? I suppose that's one way of looking at it.....

Na this does not hold up, for a start Siriporn has about 100 dancers so 70 should not have been a problem, unless it was the off season which it;s not. Assuming she would perform with a bunch of unkown dancers the customer would hardly be saving anything if spending 40,000 as you can get siriporn and dancers for 110,000 and it would cost more than 50,000 just for her alone. Lastly if it did not involve her own dancers why has she had to cancel concerts due to lack of dancers, including the one at udon suk last saturday? You caught me out, Eden never cuts on time, the miami is really a five star hotel, somchart is an excellent place, the Atlanta welcomes sex tourists and druggies, Pattaya is not a sleazy dump and all members here obey the seventh commandment.
