The First Farewell Cambo Tour

So to follow those great chaps in the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra I have decided to retire and not come to Cambo again.

 

But before I go, I will give the first farewell annual tour review.

 

DV8 148 St. Standard Shop house bar with hostesses. There can be between 5 and 8 girls. Only a couple rating a 6 or above. Can look busy with any more than 3 customers. Rooms are very average and you can get better elsewhere. 6/10

 

Soho 2 53rd St. A first floor bar where the girls wear nurse style uniforms. To get to it you pass the room of the khmers who also live in the building. The stairwell is not very clean and the outside area univiting. Inside is distinctly average in atmosphere, admittedly I came in early - about 7 ish - but there were no other customers and the tv was showing a british comedy dvd. 4/10 but may improve later in the evening.

 

Hope & Anchor Sisowath Quay- nice bar restaurant, good prices, decent atmosphere one night but dead the next, the food is nicely cooked. 7/10

 

Kandy House Sisowath Quay - very nice restaurant, great value for money, range of western and asian food. Can also do free deliveries. But no tv to watch the footie. 8/10

 

Walkabout 53rd st - sorry I dont like this place. Its dingy and downright dirty and thats just the rooms. I had a look at one of the $15 rooms and the amount of mould on the walls and bathroom door just made me turn around and swear I will never even try to book a room here. The bar is just the same with no more than average looking FL girls. 2/10

 

Shanghai 53rd st. A nicely decorated bar with a decent value menu. Choice of sitting inside or out and the day shift girls are easy on the eye. Will go back later for the night view. I think a place I would happily make my local. 8/10

 

Le Cyrcee - short time bar. This is not a drink bar, this is where you go to do the business. Good selection of memory challenged girls, they all forget to put on the underwear! All drinks are $2 inc lady drinks. Not a bad selection, about 10 girls when I went in - about 6.30pm ( it opens at 6pm ) and a couple more had arrived by the time I left. $2 for the room and $15 for the girl.

 

Mikado - same idea as Le cyrcee and at the corner of the same block. $10 for the girl, $2 for the room and drink vary from $2 up to $3.50. About 8 girls in total when I went - about 7 ish.

 

Of the two le cyrcee is classier, the mikado looks like a normal pub. The st rooms are clean but cold water showers, the mikado puts porn on the tv though. Of the two girls, the one from mikado was better, a decent bj, a bit of enthusiasm, movement and effort. Le cyrcee girl didnt do a proper yum yum despite promises that she was "good very". In fact I think what I got was a yu. 7.5/10 for both

More and more people are taking the plunge and traveling to Phnom Penh and other parts of Cambodia.

 

I traveled to Phnom Penh cold turkey. Just showed up.

 

On my last trip to BKK, I went to travel agent and booked flight to Phnom Penh.

 

I took two self guided tours of Phnom Penh. I hired a car one time and took another on at hired bike. Visited a few bars and met some nice Khmer and Viet gals.

 

There are some nice hotels on the river front. One even has a branch of one of the Bangkok hospitals at the hotel. Forgot name of hotel.

 

Next trip will be to Phnom Penh, Sinoukville, Angkor Wat, and Siem Reap.

 

Some blokes travel halfway round the world and never see anything but Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, and Walking Street.

 

To travel this far and just see the backside of a naked woman seems such a waste.

Ok.

 

Sophies 118 St ( corner of 53rd) This is in the style of Le Cyrcee except a lot more agressive. Think Soi 6 in Pattaya with attitude! 1st floor bar with two st rooms off the bar area. $2 for a beer. $10 for the gals.

 

The girls will mob you the moment you enter. I think I had 6 sets of hands on me within seconds of sitting down, I lost count as they kept moving. I think there were about 4 hands ( maybe from different girls trying to undo my zip AS I was sitting down ( I did say Soi 6 with attitude! ). I got the start of a BJ by my chosen gal before I had even got my beer - now i call that GOOD service!

 

There seemed to be around 15/20 girls in there as it is a decent size bar - maybe slightly smaller than Tonys in SC. The girls ranged from 3s to 7s

 

So picked a gal and went to a room. except they have one room opposite the toilet which is down a corridor and one room directly off the bar area. I got the one off the bar. So off to the shower through the bar wearing just a towel ( this aint for the faint hearted! ) The girl said no problem, safe when I picked up my wallet and cash to take it with me but, an unlocked door acessible to punters and girls with me not in the room? No, I will carry it thank you very much.

 

So a quick shower and into the action, a good bj followed by a good shag left me very happy.

 

Overall a 8/10 - but then I like it down and dirty. If you dont like agressive marketing and a bit more class then Le Cyrcee is probably better.

 

Ok bars

 

St 104 or Thirsty street as one of the signs puts it.

 

Zanzibar, probably the best of the shop / bars. about 10 girls or so all seemed 5+ up to an 8.5. Was quite busy and a nice atmosphere but a tad more expensive than other places ( think 125B instead of 110B sort of thing ) 7/10

 

Eden Bar - no relation to the Eden in BKK. only 4 girls, no cutomers. no atmosphere 5/10

 

Rose - nicely decorated bar with a pool table in the back - lots of girls, maybe 15 or so. I arrived just at the wrong moment. Just as I sat down two whales came in ( both in terms of size and spending ) Immediately EVERY free girl surrounded the two of them and they bought lady drinks for the lot. Even the bar staff. If it hadnt of been for that I might have had some fun in there. ( could be an 7 or 8 but sitting on your own while 2 guys monopolise all the staff is a bit boring ) 5/10

 

Banana Bar - St 136. Run of the mill shop / bar that is also an internet cafe! Hmm. Average looking girls and none I would want to take out but may be fun to talk to. But a different choice of music. Dont know if it is their style or just the night I was there but it wasnt pop it wasnt rock it wasnt BOOM BOOM TE TE TE TE CHNO. They were playing blues. enough for some folk to make it their home.

OK, onto to Snooky

 

Well, its quiet. Very quiet. Not a lot of action here but there is some.

 

As ever The Fishermans Den bar is a great sourse of information.

 

No gogos of course but there are places for freelancers

 

Fishermans Den

Freedom Hotel

Club Sandwich ( well he is saying he is bringing them back after an exgirfriend got rid of them all )

Blue Room Disco ( nice girls but very few speak any english )

 

The Music Room ( above Freedom Hotel Bar ) is a new place witha couple of gogo poles and girls dancing in street clothes. $5 bar fine and $15/$20 for the girl LT. ST rooms are available in the hotel, not sure how much. Only about 6 girls. The one I talked too pulled a total attitude on me once she found out I didnt want ST.

 

Others

 

The Snake Room - up on the backpacker hill - still to get there but sounds worthwhile.

Crazy Rabbit - on bacpacker hill promises dancing girls but delivers Ugly Coyote dancing on the bar.

 

The motodops are still as much of a pain in the arse as before and a couple of nights ago a guy came back into the bar saying he had been punched by a motodop for saying no to the offer of a ride.

 

Having visited a couple of establishments for the locals - I would advise against it. VERY poor choice, even if it is only $5 then I still wont.

Bit of a boo boo, its Blue Storm Disco. But after having gone back its worthwhile for a change but the constant boom boom hi beat techno gte painful after a while, a couple of players but girls seem to be there with their friends.

 

The Snake house is a bit of a wash out as well. Only one girl at a time dancing on the bar at a time Coyote style and then the others were more interested in talking to friends on mobiles - where have we seen that before.

 

Just confirms that the main place for company remains PP and Snooky is merely a relaxing palce to come for the beach, well relaxing if you ignore beggars, people coming to sell you paintings, massage, fruit................ every 5 minutes.
