You know, send in the pix to KS, he will post them in an appropriate folder, publicize it and then people vote. Obviously, the best pix of year (i.e., the winner of the winners) will be easy to do as the pix are already there. I suspect this is why we have a lack of participation. I am VERY happy to go back to the normal voting way which has proved more than able to catch cheats before, but people complain.
