sayjann Posted May 26, 2006 Report Share Posted May 26, 2006 the fact that the English,Scots,Irish and Welsh have their own Sports Teams are due to Politics. each Country has a vote in the Football World and the smaller Teams are scared of losing influence if the 4 Countries became one in the sporting world. and the Scots scuppered the chance of a joint bid for a Football Tournament by saying no.......they didn't want to get involved with the others........they are the outcasts. IMHO it's a joke that all those UK countries have seperate teams and soembody with a great great great parent in one of those countries can play for their 'national' team.
