The whole point with a discussion board is to discuss. If he post news clips -- he should also add his interpretation, analysis, thoughts or what not. I have seen a few reactions to his lack of sourcing, and now a thread dedicated to the phenomenon, which I find to be a little odd. Personally I think it's pretty mindless (as in there is no thought required) and is used as a way of quickly increasing their personal number of posts and hence their 'perceived' status on the board.
