5 most annoying things about football

1. Anytime a player does something worthy of getting a close up shot on the camera, he waits for that exact instant and lets go a big wad of spit he?s been saving. Or better yet, jets out a nostril of snot. I started counting the number of times this happens and now can?t stop laughing because it?s like clockwork.

2. Many times when a player has a clear shot on the goal he chokes and boots the ball into the stands. Standard reaction is he puts his hands to head as if to say ?how could I have missed it?? Looks like a real moron, yet happens all the time.

3. About anytime there is contact, player rolls around on the ground holding his knee with a look of agony on his face looking for pity from the ref. It never works. He just looks like a whining fool, especially after he resumes play and it?s obvious there was no injury.

4. Goalie has ball in hand and decides to just punt the ball as deep as he can. It?s basically a jump ball often snatched by the other team who comes right back with it. Why not pass the ball to someone on your own side versus these jump balls?

5. Off sides. Every match plays are dissected through a microscope of replays to see whether the ref got it right creating controversy because the ref is setup for failure due to his angle and the speed of the action and this call/no call decides many a match. Why does this rule exist? Shouldn't the players be the ones deciding the outcome?

1. Jose Moaninho

2. Arsene Whinger

3. Greasy haired referees from liliputland who believe it is an automatic foul everytime a tall player tries to outjump a shorter player (as witnessed by Crouch last night)

4. Gay cameramen who don't give enough time to the big titted girls in the crowd, particularly during Brazil matches.

5. Scottish fans who support any team other than England and go on and on about Archie feckin Gemill's goal in the 78 finals.

From Wikipedia.

On June 11, 1978, Scotland needed to win the game by three goals to advance. With his team leading 2-1 in the 68th minute, Gemmill ran around three Dutch defenders and scored a fantastic goal to give his countrymen hope. Unfortunately, three minutes later the Netherlands replied, the game ending with a 3-2 result, denying Scotland a spot in the second round. The goal was later made a part of a memorable scene in the movie Trainspotting, in which characters Tommy and Lizzie, feeling amorous, decide to make love while watching a homemade porno film, only to see it has been replaced with a football tape called "100 Great Goals" which features Gemmill's strike: at the same time, Renton (Ewan McGregor), who earlier had switched the tapes in their cases and borrowed Tommy and Lizzie's tape, says (after climaxing during sex with Dianne, who he has just met), "I haven't felt that good since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978!"
