Guest
I remember many years ago I walked from Kasetsart University all the way down Thanon Pahonyotin to MBK.Great way to see the nooks of crannys of the street life, but an absurdly masochistic thing to do .I leaked about as much sweat as a 5 minute stroll through Chatuchak, but it was worth it. Anyone else done any ridiculous walks in BKK ?
drogon
Yes, one day I was on sukhumvit soi 2, skytrain not working. traffic jam => i refuse to take moto taxi => had to walk wearing tie and suit up to sukhumvit soi 24. I lost maybe 2kg doing that.......

samak
Nana to Thonglor (several times)! Huay Kwang to Kongtoey and thirty++ times up and down Soi Cowboy one evening!
SiLeakHunt
Soi 8 to Soi 7/1 is a lot further than it initially seems with the changes in direction and croissing over using the sky train steps. You also have to dodge tuk tuks wanting to take you to Petchburi. Cheers
dean
Before skytran, i walked from Amari Boulevard Hotel to my tailor three quartes down Silom and back. I'd get a nice view of the American Embassy and Lumpini Park.
junglesoup
I walked from near soi 97 sukumvit to Siam square,ie, the whole skytrain stretch on sukhumvit and a little more. Did it with a friend so it wasnt so bad. I like walking anyway. Its a good way to get some exercise in also and see some sites.

rickfarang
Hard to tell. Six or seven kilometers was the longest. And that's a pretty long way to walk without a hat in this sun.
