limbo
Gotta start this up in here, so let's go back to the beginning. Who's your fave silent movie star. can be somebody who successfully made the cross to sound movies. Mine is Buster Keaton, amazing stuff he pulled off. Flashermac
Probably Buster, though Harold Lloyd did some fantastic flicks. (And back then the stars did their own stunts!) I've never been much of a Chaplin fan. The few silent films Laurel & Hardy did are great. Odd that folks only remember the comedies. Probably because the acting styles in the dramas seem too hammy by today's standards. (They were carried over from the days when most folks weren't close enough to the stage to hear many of the lines, so one had to over act.) Flashermac
Doggie, the Thais have taken silent films -- such as Chaplin's -- and added Thai dialogue. WTF???
