ChristianTroy
Perfectly put Sayjann according to the Bibblies logic, Bayern Munich is Germanies top Team, wrong, Stuttgart is, 2nd is Schalke and 3rd is Bremen and then Munich! They had 34 games to proof it! Oliver Kahn said when they still had a shot on the Champions League spots, "Just because we have the Bayern Logo on our chest doesn't mean we win the game" That sums it up perfectly! Zaad
Bibbs, PSV 0 Liverpool 3PSV 1 Arsenal 0 To their defense... The Arse game was their last good game before they started going downhill... FAST. They nearly lost the title until the final game which saved the season. Liv did win but against a (mentally) very weak and out of form PSV team. I actually believe Liverpool can finish above either Chelsea or Man U if they buy a worldclass striker next season. One of the reasons being that Chelsea and Man U may be more focussed on int. success and Liv the opposite. No joke!
limbo
Guys, Don't forget that Milan was not supposed to have played this CL season. When they eventually were accepted, they didn't really have to bother about their home league, since there was no chance of winning that, they just needed to secure survival and concentrate 100% on any cup comps they were in, which they did in the CL. bibblies
We don't care about Germany's top team. The Bundesliga is shit. No one cares. You clearly love Man Utd and keep going on about domestic competitions. I'll say it again: READ THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD! It's the 'UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE' thread. So take your parochial concerns elsewhere. I don't care if ManUtd or Stuttgart are flat-track bullies who can get good results over 38 games mostly against the likes of Charlton, Sheff Utd, Everton, Bolton and Fulham. This thread is about teams who can actually do it against the cream of European teams, who can work out and play against teams of different styles and great pedigree like Milan, Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona. That, judging by his record of 1 final in 21 seasons, is not your beloved Alex Ferguson.

Zaad
Limbo, they just needed to secure survival and concentrate 100% on any cup comps they were in, which they did in the CL. Many teams do so, Bayern being one of them (once they started losing grip domestically) Same for Inter who were champs after X-mas (kind of) and gave their best too. Just not enough to challenge Milan who (despite last season's problems) are worthy winners.
ChristianTroy
I put you in my prayers Bibblies and pray for a bit more sophistication in your cute little bunny punches! Can't insult, offend a person with that not even when you use a board handle i.E. like Red Shirt
Zaad
Out of curiosity Bibbs, What's YOUR order of priority for your Liverpool team next season? I'm sure Carling (micky mouse) Cup is bottom of everybody's list, but what about the FA Cup, CL and EPL?
ChristianTroy
What's YOUR order of priority for your Liverpool team next season? I know it! I know it! finding two solid strikers that don't look goofy!
The_Munchmaster
A couple of quotes related to the CL Final. "Liverpool are going to win the Champions League final - I am absolutely 100% confident of that." Alan Hansen in his BBC Sport Column. "Now let's talk to a loser - Steven Gerrard, is with Geoff Shreeves." Martin Tyler on Sky Sports' coverage of the Champions League final
