I agree Munchie that it's a pity non-EPL related football or teams generate very little discussion here.

Same for the UCL fantasy league which gets very little attention WHICH I WON BTW, thanks for the recognition guys

I'm glad Milan won it, just didn't want Liverpool to win it AGAIN (twice in 3 years/editions) on pen. after going through on away goals (Barca) and pen. (Chelsea) in the rounds prior to the final. That would just be too damn fortunate.

who wants to talk about losers........?

but at least Bibblies must be a happy man..... :)

after all he did claim that reaching the CL final means you are more successful than the team which won the PL.......

and don't forget that the CL is a competition which you can win after playing 13 games.

and also you could play those 13 games and never win a game in 90 minutes to lift the trophy.

at least MU had to play 17 games to win the trophy in 99...... :)

Q: What have Liverpool and Olivia Newton John got in common?

A: They both got fucked in Greece. lgh (23).gif

Er, mate.... aren't you a Man Utd supporter?

2005 Man Utd 0 Milan 1

2005 Milan 1 Man Utd 0

2005 Liverpool 3 Milan 3 (Liverpool win on penalties)

2007 Milan 3 Man Utd 0

Just to remind you...

You got RAPED. Utterly RAPED. You went there, all full of hope and bravado and you got taught a humiliating football lesson. :rotfl:

And, because you were so outclassed, the consensus opinion in England (especially among Man U fans) was that Milan would annihilate us.

But we made them look ordinary - having most of the game and never being outclassed like some teams in red I could mention.

So, we won 1 and they won 1. And at least we got to the final. (How many times have you choked at the semi-final stage by the way? I think it's 7, the same number of times we've reached the final. Meanwhile, you're level with Nottingham Forest.

You see, when we're 3-0 down against Milan, we don't continue to lie face down on the ground and take it up the arse. No, we get up and we fight our way back. :smirk: :bangit:

Yeah, beating

2007 Chelsea (over 2 legs)

2007 Barcelona (2 legs)

2005 Milan (120 minutes + pens)

2005 Chelsea (2 legs)

2005 Juventus (2 legs)

among others, is really LUCKY, isn't it? A team has to be really LUCKY to do all that. :doah:

For fuck's sake, the only games even lost in the nine above were to Chelsea 2007 (1-0) and Barcelona (0-1). We beat Barcelona, the holders, AT THEIR OWN GROUND and then we dominated the home match, hitting the bar twice before they scored a single late goal. Did you even watch that match? Or the latest Chelsea one that we dominated? :dunno: Lucky, my arse.

Really, Zaad, I expected better from you. :shakehead

It was OK to lose to Maldini - he's a gent. I get the feeling that Milan respect us - probably more than any other team.

Bibbs,

Winning games on away goals (when for fuck's sake are they going to do something about this ridiculous rule???) and shoot-outs is fortunate in my book. Lucky is too strong a word, they certainly did well to reach that far, but winning 2 CLs in 3 years in such a fashion is too much of the good stuff which I (or my teams) ain't getting. :)

They were being dominated in the extra time of the 2005 final and Sheva missed (Or shall I say Dudek stopped..) 2 great chances. Two sitters. They undeservedly got that Cup, but of course, the best team doesn't always win. That too was one of the reasons I didn't want Liverpool to get it again (on pen.)

Since on the subject.. Benitez is preparing his squad for a serious title attempt next season. That's very positive and we may get a more consistent Liverpool next season. Curious to see if their consistency in the EPL will affect their results in the (int) cup matches.

Good news for you Bibbs, Zenden is playing for Liv no more :D

Yesterday I had 10 Million USD

today I lost it all at the casino!

Bottom line is I have nothing and it is fucking unimportant that I used to be a Millionaire yesterday!

Bibblies can't stop living in the past, he simply can't he sounds like a 70yo talking about the good old times!

Discussion ManU and Liverpool is like discussing Gold and Silver, bot is nice but Gold is better!

There are worlds between those two teams which the EPL table is proof enough!

ManU was playing an amazing year and even if they didn't make it to the finals they had deserved it!

Milan is the deserved champ because they are one level above all other teams! They played the final safe and did what they had to do.

Congrats Milan
