Guest
Many years ago, a gf took me to this huge outdoor restaurant where the waitstaff delivered your order on roller skates. I know this place no longer exists, but has any other venue taken its place? ---the Pale Rider
samak
try golden dragon bang na; it's supposed to be the largest restaurant of the world. similar concept, however more commercialized than the good old tum nak thai (lot of japanese and chinese people). Thx for the info. I will keep in mind although the tour bus scene is unappetizing. --PR
Palatkik
I went to the Golden Dragon Bang Na once (but I thought it was called the Royal Dragon) and didn't enjoy it like I did the Tam Nak Thai in the early days. Tham Nak Thai got too commercial for me as well. The Bang Na restaurant is made entirely of concrete, including the boats, and seems too lack any atmosphere for our tastes. I used to enjoy going to the garden restaraunts in Rachada in the 1980's, before the concrete jungle took over. Cheers
