buddha
Fidel.... A fun tip on using pandora.com...... The music is downloaded and stored on your computer as a temp file/folder. Once played it is overwritten by the next song. If you can find that temp folder you can right click - copy - paste into a new directory and rename. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. If you like Bob Marley set up a channel devoted to him. The amount of obscure, never heard before versions is uncanny.

playtheblues
"Bird, Diz, 'Trane, Miles, Monk" John Coltrane the master of them all. McCoy Tyner's pianosolos in "My Favourite Things" live in Stockholm 1961 and in, I think, Berlin, in 1963...

playtheblues
Btw I am almost certain that the second concert I was talking about was the one in Berlin im 1963. Amazing how McCoy Tyner (and 'Trane himself of course), could improvise so beautifully on those minor ninths and major sevenths chords. Marvelous bouncing 3/4 rythm too especially in the Stockholm version.

playtheblues
Maybe. But you posted your thread under the label "Arts and Culture". And somebody mentioned 'trane. So I thought it was about arts and culture. And it's raining and I'm bored and have nobody to discuss interesting things with. Now back to "Hotel California" . Music for Real Men, like you, I guess.
