I notice they do have 'A Child of the Northeast', also, Bangkok Nights 2 and a few others. And yes, their prices are very reasonable. Cent

Long Gun
My favourite book in all the world! Bought a copy in Thai for the missus about 10 years ago. I don't think she's finished it yet ......
Central Scrutinizer
LongGun, I've never read it (I don't think). What is the age range for it? Child or young teen? SB's 14 now, so just looking for some farang books she might be able to enjoy. Cent
cavanami
Flash, Dunno, is this it? Found this on google. "Seacon Square is half a million square meters. There are over 400 shops. Thereare two department stores - a Robinsons and a Lotus Supercenter. Thailand's biggest book store, DK Books, is in Seacon Square." Cent Just retuened from Saecon and found DK on the B1 (one level below the ground floor). Big shop and it looked like they are expanding to another shop 20 meters down. Central Scrutinizer
Cav, Cool. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check this out in January on my return. Sounds like they have good prices and my daughter, wife and I will definitely check this place out for some books to buy. Cent

CENT, The little Prince, any age, I was read it when less than 8, so I cried a lot, but a great book. DOG
Long Gun
What is the age range for it? Child or young teen? SB's 14 now, so just looking for some farang books she might be able to enjoy. It's kind of a children's book for adults, all ages welcome. Guarantee that SB will love it or your money back!
Flashermac
Cavan ... Good to know DK is still around. I asked the shops in Siam Square, where it was for decades, and they hadn't even heard of it. The old DK had one of the best selections in Bangkok. Central Scrutinizer
LongGun, Thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely pick that one up for her to read. She is at the top (#1) of her class every semester, bright lass, very scholarly and loves school, always first in her English classes, never a roblem doing her homework as soon as she gets home rather than playing around and goofing off, loves the computer and is getting very good at using it, etc., but, she does not really like to read much except for her classwork/homework reading. More a TV watcher and movie watcher. I have yet to find a book that grabbed her attention that she would/could read just for the pleasure of it. Would love to instill that love for reading in her. Thanks. Cent
