Guest
Alright, I'm clueless about this aspect of networking. Setting aside cable-modems, isn't a T-1 the next fastest thing after DSL/ADSL and ISDN? Anybody know what this costs, who you get it from and how fast it goes (in Thailand)? And how the hell does this set-up work anyway? Line from the wall to PC, I mean. I probably wouldn't ever need this, but I'm curious.
Guest
T-1 is 1.54Mbps. I am not sure if they do that speed in Thailand. I guess it would cost around 0.5 million baht/month. For example, see http://www.ksc.net.th/products/cnlite_th.html
whosyourdaddy
The fastest I have seen is a 512K line for 66,000 bhat per month. You can find this info and more on adslthialand.com
Straycat
In my experience it's hard to find a good deal for leased lines outside the U.S. Anyway, if you are serious about this here is a cut-n-paste from LoxInfo's website (www.loxinfo.co.th): "Starting Sep 15, 2001, LoxInfo is pleased to offer corporate customer to enjoy our reliable Leased Line service at our special package on "EcoPlus Promotion". Call now for promotion detail as it is customized to fit your corporate with Free leased line plus other benefits. Promotion Speed available from 64 Kbps - 2 Mbps or please call our representatives for more detail at 0-2263-8685." Guest
Khun Straycat, thank you. I'd probably never need that much speed, but I was curious.
