What does the 'lae' stand for in this phrase? Doesn't it mean 'and'?

 

No, by itself it means "to see," together with "duu" (to look) it forms a compound meaning "to look after, watch over" (i.e. take care of)

 

and the "duay" in this case doesn't mean "too" (though it can in other contexts); here it's untranslatable into English directly, think of it as a "softener" to the "command" of "take care of yourself"...kind of analogous to "take care of yourself, okay?" in English, as opposed just "take care of yourself"...the first is a little softer of a command...
