Hugh_Hoy
Wow! Can u believe Boise actually leading OU in the 3rd quarter! Didn't think they'd stand a chance; but who would've though OU would've gotten thrown into a meat-grinder 2 years ago in the Rose Bowl against USC? Steve
If I was a betting man (and I used to be) I'd have put money on Boise State. Several years ago i did the same with Fresno State playing USC in the Independence bowl. These small schools have something to prove and the fact is that the major schools like Oklahoma simply cna't get up for a Boise State.
Hugh_Hoy
Yep...you're right. The small schools seem to get up for the big guys. But wasn't the Fresno win against USC in the "Freedom Bowl"? And wasn't it the last game for the USC coach at that school? But back to what u said: Fresno almost pulled it off AT USC again last year. Steve
Freedom bowl..yeah you're probably right. Old age, sorry. No matter what was going at USC, they are still a major football power and Fresno State was not. In fact, FSU were more of a basketball school than football school at that time.
